Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Lu Weifeng found the "golden fruit" of getting rich.

Lu Weifeng, a 37-year-old farmer in Yuli County, has been a bit busy recently. His mobile phone has never stopped, and he has to receive one group of farmers who come to visit and sign contracts. Everyone has only one purpose: to "learn from" Lu Weifeng.

"the black Lycium barbarum seedlings cultivated by Xiaolu are particularly good. They were planted in April this year, and now they are hanging fruit. We also plan to grow Chinese wolfberry next year." Recently, at the Tuanjie Township Forestry Station in Yuli County, more than 10 farmers who came to sign pre-sale contracts packed Lu Weifeng's office.

Shen Shuming's family in Harahong Village, Xingping Township, Yuli County, has more than 30 mu of land and has been growing cotton for more than a decade. Now that cotton prices are unstable and there is a shortage of pickers, he plans to try planting black wolfberry next year.

"someone in our village has planted it this year, and the benefit is very good, so I came to order the seedlings in advance." On the same day, according to the price of 0.5 yuan per seedling, Shen Shuming signed a contract to buy 30,000 seedlings and paid a deposit of 500 yuan. And his contract number has been arranged to 102.

"in the last month, more than 20 million contracts have been signed, and people are coming one after another." There was a smile on Lu Weifeng's tired face. It's not an easy smile.

In early 2013, Lu Weifeng registered and established the first family farm in Bayingoleng Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture, the Red Flag Family Farm in Yuli County. In 2014, he visited Qinghai, Ningxia and other places, and finally decided to develop the black wolfberry industry. Black wolfberry is cold-resistant, drought-resistant and saline-alkali-resistant, which is especially suitable for our climate and environment, and has high health care value and high economic benefits. " Lu Weifeng said.

In 2014, the Yuli County Party Committee and the County people's Government formulated and issued the "preferential policies for the Development of Wolfberry Industry in Yuli County in 2015", which made Lu Weifeng strengthen his determination to develop the black wolfberry industry.

Raising seedlings is the key to whether Chinese wolfberry can be planted well. Lu Weifeng focused on the cultivation of black wolfberry seedlings. "I have never planted it before, so I specially invited more than a dozen Lin Guo experts and professors from the Academy of Forestry Sciences of the autonomous region to help guide them." Lu Weifeng said.

In 2014, Lu Weifeng and these experts studied and experimented repeatedly for a year in the seedling greenhouse, and finally cultivated the ideal black wolfberry seedlings.

Under the leadership of Lu Weifeng, the reporter visited his "black wolfberry demonstration field": "you see, these seedlings were only planted in early April this year, and now the fruit has been hung." The reporter saw that the big and full grains of black wolfberry were growing gratifying, and more than a dozen pickers were busy harvesting Chinese wolfberry.

Wei Shengcai, the owner of the land, smiled happily from ear to ear: "now we have collected more than 5 tons, and the purchase price per kilogram is 80 yuan. the benefit of these 25 mu of land this year is about 1 million yuan. We have really found the" golden fruit "to get rich."

At the beginning of this year, Lu Weifeng also set up the first black wolfberry research institute in the state, dedicated to the breeding of improved varieties, technical guidance, sales and processing of agricultural products, and so on. Lu Weifeng said: "Last year, the sales of black Lycium barbarum seedlings reached 10 million. This year, the seedling raising capacity of 25 greenhouses will reach 50 million plants. So far, the order quantity of 20 million plants has been completed."

"the ecological value and economic benefits of black wolfberry are very high, and we also hope that through our own efforts, we can help more farmers get rich." Lu Weifeng said.
