Last Updated: 2024/09/16, Su Wei, the "land creator", makes the dream of increasing farmers' income of rye wheat.

"I have planted 4 mu of black wheat this year, with an average yield of 450kg per mu. After selling it at a price of 4 yuan per kilogram, my income is more than 3000 yuan more than that of ordinary wheat." On November 4, Li Chengfei, a villager of Yaolizhuang, Fujing Town, Shenqiu County, counted the grain money sold by his family's black wheat and smiled.

Like Li Chengfei, in Shenqiu County, many farmers grow rye wheat. "according to this year's market, the income per mu of growing black wheat is about 700 yuan higher than that of ordinary wheat, thanks to Lao Su!" When it comes to the process of growing rye wheat to increase people's income, the villagers will never forget Lao Su, the founder of the land.

The Lao Su we are talking about is Su Wei, who is in charge of the Shenqiu Julong Black Wheat crop Co-operative. He worked in the flour industry in his early years and had a deep affection for wheat. During an inspection trip, he was surprised to find that in supermarkets, big hotels and fast-food restaurants in some cities, a black steamed bread sold for 2 yuan and a bowl of black noodles sold for 10 yuan, and the market was optimistic that demand often fell short of supply.

This situation made Su Wei see a business opportunity. After market research, he found that the planting technology of rye wheat is not much different from that of ordinary wheat. Almost all land that can grow ordinary wheat can cultivate rye wheat.

"the yield of black wheat per mu is generally about 400 kg. Under well-managed conditions, the yield per mu can reach more than 500 kg. If sold according to improved varieties, the income per mu can reach 4000-5000 yuan, and the value produced by deep processing is even higher." Su Wei said. Seeing such a good market prospect of black wheat, Su Wei set up a professional cooperative for dragon crops in March 2012 and decided to expand and strengthen this project with his fellow villagers to increase the value of land output and realize the dream of increasing farmers' income.

In order to eliminate the worries of the villagers, Su Wei signed the "Rye Wheat Recycling Agreement" with farmers who intend to grow black wheat. In order to ensure the quality of black wheat and help farmers grow high-quality and high-yield black wheat, cooperatives sell one-stop "full care service" from seed selection and purchase to seed supply, field management, harvesting and sales.

While encouraging villagers to join the co-operative, Su Wei also contracted 2000 mu of land through land transfer, taking the lead in planting rye wheat. "if you transfer the land to my villagers, you can get a rent of 1000 yuan per mu of land. at the same time, they can also work in the farmland and get another salary." Su Wei said.

Su Wei repeatedly publicized and explained that he had unlocked the "heart lock" of the villagers, and they generally agreed that there was a broad way to grow "money" in black wheat. Not only the villagers in this village actively joined the cooperative to voluntarily grow black wheat, but also farmers in other villages and towns also took an active part in it. It is understood that under the guidance of Su Wei, the planting area of black wheat in Shenqiu County in 2015 was 11000 mu, with a total output of 4.6 million kg, directly increasing the income of farmers by more than 7 million yuan.
