Recently, there was good news from the Municipal Committee of Agriculture that at the just-concluded 2015 10th International Aquarium Exhibition, goldfish evaluation and goldfish culture exhibition, the butterfly-tailed goldfish selected by farmers in our city were beautiful and won many awards such as hardware and bronze. When the reporter came to the home of Shi Bolin, director of the long Butterfly ornamental Fish Cooperative, he was putting the golden medal in the window. The rows of medals and trophies in the window record his fish farming process for more than 20 years.

In recent years, the Shuangqun community in Dongchen Town has made great efforts to develop ornamental fish culture, and the colorful fish have opened up a way for the villagers here to become rich. Shi Bolin's ornamental fish is very famous in the market. "now there is a good market for ornamental fish, especially since we still have many high-end varieties, and there is no shortage of sales at all." In Shibelin's fish shed, the red and white fish swim smartly, and the whole pond looks like a "treasure pot."

In 2011, when the long Butterfly ornamental Fish Cooperative was established, Shi Bolin introduced more than 10 species, including "Rugao Butterfly tail", Koi Carp, Pearl, and so on. Over the past few years, more and more fish ponds have been dug, and there are more and more species of goldfish. With this colorful and beautiful goldfish, Shi Bolin's days are becoming more and more popular. "these are all our local brands, butterfly tails, which are self-propagating and self-supporting, and are very popular in the market." Introduced by Schblin. Ornamental fish culture is nothing new in Dongchen Town. With the improvement of income, the scale of Shi Bolin's culture is also expanding. Many villagers in the village have followed him to engage in ornamental fish culture, and the economic benefits are very considerable.

After raising ornamental fish for more than 20 years, there are many kinds of ornamental fish. With his rich experience, Schblin's ornamental fish has become famous not only for the domestic market, but also for customers in Indonesia, Singapore and other places to place orders. "the purpose of participating in the ornamental fish competition is to get the local brand of Rugao out and start!" Schblin said. Shi Bolin, who has many years of experience in aquaculture, can now be regarded as one of the best fish farmers in Rugao. Although he is a man of nearly 50 years old, he can travel freely between this narrow fish pond. Schblin said that this batch of award-winning fish has been sold at the scene, and the same species of the award-winning fish has also been booked and will be shipped in a few days. Rugao butterfly tail has aroused the interest of many foreign fish farmers by winning the grand prize in the beauty pageant of ornamental fish. Goldfish farmers also found business opportunities. Rugao butterfly tail began to take the international route, and its value increased several times.

The reporter saw in the cooperative that workers are selecting different standards of butterfly-tailed goldfish, each of which has been carefully measured, with different requirements from shape to color. The staff told the reporter that generally goldfish are sold by strip, so according to the size, the larger the size, the higher the price. Through a series of competitions, Rugao butterfly tail is being recognized by more and more people at home and abroad, and fish farmers are also coming from all over the world, which brings direct economic benefits to farmers.

"in the past, when I sold it in front of my house, I didn't know what was going on outside. Some of them cost 15 yuan each, but now they all reach 200 yuan." Mr. Schblin says the number of butterfly-tailed goldfish he raised has barely changed since two years ago, but sales have tripled. At present, his butterfly tail is mainly sold wholesale to Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. In the future, he plans to connect more to the more expensive European and American markets through the Internet model.
