In 2013, Ma Ying, who has been working in the construction industry for many years, set her sights on high-end agriculture. "I have contracted 46 mu of land by the lake, of which 16 mu have been used to try to grow rice." Ma Ying said that 16 mu of rice had a bumper harvest because of the large number of Rain Water and the rich water storage of Pengdian Lake.

"after many experts came to Shuangwangcheng for a field visit, they all said that the soil here is alkaline and dry, so it is not suitable for growing rice." Ma Ying said that because she had also read a lot of agronomic materials and learned some knowledge of rice cultivation, she came to the conclusion that as long as there was an adequate water supply, growing rice was not a problem.

After successful trial planting in the first year, Ma Ying expanded the rice planting area from 16 mu to 500 mu last year.

"in 2014, the number of varieties I tried at the beginning increased to 7, and the number was tested in pieces." Ma Ying said that because the rice fields move south, the rice that is no longer close to the lake can only "drink" well water.

"there used to be two wells here, but because of the high water demand for rice cultivation, I made six more wells, which were evenly distributed in the rice fields." Ma Ying said that in the end, after a year of financial, mental and human consumption, he left only two of the seven rice varieties.

"one is a kind of japonica rice, and the other is a kind of glutinous rice." Ma Xiuqian of Xingde said that both varieties have the advantages of long growth period, stable yield and good taste, and belong to the high-end varieties of organic rice. Because it is rich in selenium and has no pollution, the market price has reached 20 yuan per jin, directly for first-and second-tier cities across the country.

The rice was successful, but the waste of space under the ditches and rice in the field made Ma Ying think hard. "got it!" Ma Ying decided to plant and breed at the same time. "herring, grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp, carp and Loach are raised in field ditches, while ducks and crabs are raised in rice fields."

In 2015, Ma Ying's idea of "three-dimensional planting" was implemented. "if it is said to be farmed, it is actually equivalent to the wild. " Ma Xiuqian said that silver carp grown in canals can be sold for 10 yuan per jin, which is much higher than the market price of 4.5 yuan per jin for ordinary cultured silver carp. "even if you sell fish this year, you can earn more than 200,000 yuan, including rice income, which is very considerable."

"next year, I'm going to set aside 10 mu of land to grow rape without eating or selling it. After rape is broken, it is specially used as fertilizer to return to the field. it is a natural organic fertilizer. " Ma Ying plans to expand the ridges in the rice fields from 10 centimeters to 15 centimeters to facilitate the movement of ducks and crabs.

In the north of Shuangwang City, there is an ecological forest farm covering an area of 30,000 mu. "the main tree species planted in the forest farm are economic forests and afforestation, such as white wax, fast-growing poplar, Robinia pseudoacacia, willow, and Toona sinensis, and intercropping between forest and farmers to improve land utilization." Bi Xiaomei, head of Linhai Ecological Expo Park Tourism Company in Shouguang City, said.

Because of the lotus root in the fish pond, the Lotus Festival is held in the Expo Park from July to September every year, attracting tourists from all over the world to enjoy the flowers.
