The young man in Jiaxing adhered to the "six-character mantra" and went back to his hometown to start a business.
Cai Jianhui
[editor's note] this is an era in which young talents emerge one after another, and age and experience are no longer the decisive factors, which makes young people with strong vitality and creativity stand out. These outstanding people are determined to forge ahead in various fields, "make meritorious service" or "speak up" earlier, and become the well-deserved protagonists of this era.
They lead the young people of their contemporaries to move up to the heights and take actions to improve the demeanor of the times. They inspire young people, dreams and countless "selves". To this end, Zhejiang online news website will introduce their deeds one after another from now on, and call them "youth leaders".
"respect heaven, earth, and people," says Tsai Chien-hui, summing up her farming experience.
Five years ago, Cai Jianhui, 29, gave up a generous job in the city and returned to her hometown, Zhuangshi Village, Fengqiao Town, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, where she contracted 468 mu of land with her partners and started a rural entrepreneurship road.
Today, his team earns three or four million yuan a year, and at the same time, it also helps villagers increase their income by planting a piece of land and collecting two pieces of money.
To heaven, to earth, to man.
Be a farmer in "six-character mantra"
Cai Jianhui's company mainly grows grapes, peaches, melons and other fruits, as well as some vegetables and rice. At the beginning of her business, Tsai Chien-hui thought that as long as she used modern means of industrialization, she would be able to grow good products and sell them at a good price without considering natural factors. But he finally found that he was wrong, even in modern agriculture, natural conditions, soil, manpower and other factors will still restrict the development of the industry.
In the process of starting a business, they have experienced great blows caused by typhoons, torrential rains, cold waves, droughts and other extreme weather, as well as the serious damage caused to the soil by unreasonable farming methods before. "when we first contracted the land, some of the land did not even grow grass." Cai Jianhui recalled the situation at that time. He knows that before, many people blindly pursued high yields and overused chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which eventually led to soil hardening and loss of fertility.
Now, while vigorously promoting mechanization, he implements a strict management system. Melon, fruit and vegetable varieties rotate every year to balance soil fertility; in the process of farming, try to use biological and physical pest control techniques, such as anti-insect nets and anti-pest lights, to reduce the use of pesticides; and to use more organic fertilizer and less chemical fertilizer when fertilizing, effectively protect soil fertility. "We also cooperate with some farmers, we provide straw, vegetable leaves, peel, they provide organic fertilizer." Cai Jianhui said that in this way, the waste can be used effectively and benefit both sides.
In the interview, the 34-year-old Cai Jianhui mentioned his "six-character mantra" many times: respect heaven, earth and people. In his view, even modern agriculture is affected by weather, natural environment and other factors, and land is still an important basis for carrying out agricultural activities. He has been doing what he has been doing to respect nature, protect arable land and strive to make the villagers accept the new thinking in agriculture.
Cai Jianhui adheres to the six-character mantra of "respecting heaven, earth and people" to do agriculture.
Plant a piece of land and collect two pieces of money.
Lead the villagers to become rich through science and technology
This year, Cai Jianhui also did one thing: while selling their own products, they helped surrounding villagers sell their specialties such as peaches through e-commerce, group buying and other forms.
While getting rich, Cai Jianhui did not forget to lead the villagers to increase production and income. Most of the land of Cai Jianhui's company is contracted from nearby villagers. In the past, farmers worked their own fields, earning less and paying more, and more and more people chose to go to the city to work, leaving only the elderly at home.
Since five years ago, Cai Jianhui and his team have contracted 468 mu of surrounding land and hired local villagers to help with farming. Cai Jianhui said that the company now has dozens of machines, large and small, and will recently purchase new products, such as greenhouses, underground water and fertilization networks, and so on, but labor is still an indispensable factor.
"We have signed an agreement with the village to pay 800 jin of rice per mu every year, and there will be an increase every year. At the same time, the villagers who work in the company have an income of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan a year, with normal rest and overtime pay if they work overtime. " Today, the old people who stay in the village work in Cai Jianhui's company, which is still a familiar piece of land, but they can earn two pieces of money at the same time.
When asked about her views on the future development of agriculture, Cai Jianhui blurted out eight words: the prospect is very good, and the process is very bitter. Cai Jianhui said that it was only after starting an agricultural business that he realized the hard work of farming, but he did not give up because of it. In his view, modern agriculture has broad prospects for development, and science and technology is also gradually changing the planting mode of agriculture. Now, the villagers have gradually begun to accept his concept of farming and continue to work hard and become rich with him in the field of agriculture.
