"on this tree, the lower layer is mandarin, which is now ripe, and the upper layer is mandarin. When the tangerine is sold out, the mandarin happens to be ripe. This is called a double harvest." In his own orange orchard, Tian Jiming told reporters that this "double bumper harvest" is a technique he learned at the China Citrus Research Institute at his own expense. After grafting, some branches can hang fruit in the second year. In 1990, Tian Jiming contracted for a barren mountain and barren slope called "Yehu Ridge" at the back of the village. it was a place with piles of rocks, cultivating soil, building roads, and flat slopes. Tian Jiming dug out a piece of green world on the barren slope, planted orange trees, and became a well-known rookie who started a business and became rich. He is steadfast and willing to work, bear hardships and stand hard work, and the villagers see it in their eyes and envy them in their hearts. Becoming the leader of getting rich in the village, Tian Jiming regarded driving the villagers to get rich as the primary responsibility. after learning the new technology and successfully testing it in his own garden, he not only passed on the technology to the villagers, but also provided grafted branches and technical guidance to the villagers free of charge, held technical training courses for the villagers and led them to get rich together.

Tian Jiming organized and set up the "Tianrun Fruit and vegetable Cooperative", implemented the model of "branch + association + peasant household", and paid to inspect the market in Yinchuan, Xining, Lanzhou and other places. Excellent varieties such as Hongxin pomelo, Japanese Taitian mandarin Xinji No. 3 and Newhall navel orange were introduced and planted successfully. Led by Tian Jiming, more than 80 households in Tianjiaba Village are now growing oranges and vegetables. The acreage of fruits and vegetables in the village has reached 245 mu, the income has reached 1.95 million yuan, the per capita net income is more than 6000 yuan, and the income of fruits and vegetables accounts for 2/3 of the income structure of the local people. it has really become a pillar industry for increasing the income of the masses.
