At the seminar on revitalizing the lake sheep industry held in Zhejiang a few days ago, Wang Weilin became the focus. As one of the two farmers who introduced their experience, Wang Weilin won a lot of praise as soon as he finished talking about his way of raising sheep. To count the shepherd's sheep-raising knack lies in "careful calculation", which may be closely related to his more than 20 years of experience in software engineering.

Wang Weilin's sheep farm is located in Shuanglin Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, which has been the main producing area of lake sheep in Taihu Lake Basin since ancient times. At first, Wang Weilin did not plan to raise sheep, but hoped to build a small farm here for relatives and friends to rest in their spare time. Under the strong introduction of the village cadres, he began to pay attention to the industry of Hu Yang.

At the end of 2012, the business license of sheep farm and 205 mu of transferred land were quickly obtained, and Nanyuanli Ecological Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd. was established. But Wang Weilin, who only knows software, knows nothing about raising sheep, so he has to go around to learn his skills. When IT elites enter the sheep industry, they must be unique in order to be competitive. In the following year or so, Wang Weilin thought most about how to raise Hu sheep more ecologically and economically.

In the sheep farm, in addition to the more than 20 mu of sheep house, there are 150 mu of specially planted bamboo grass. This kind of pasture is easy to grow and can produce three to four seasons a year.

Wang Weilin told reporters that these fresh forage grasses are only used as one of the feed components of lake sheep, and every year, sheep farms also purchase straw from surrounding farmers, such as rice straw and rape, which are chopped and kneaded, then mixed with forage grass, mushroom dregs, and bean curd dregs, and then treated with biological bacteria to achieve silage. In this way, the lake sheep has become the "scavenger" of agricultural waste, and the feeding cost of each lake sheep can be reduced by more than 100 yuan.

In Wang Weilin's sheep farm, a pond of more than 20 mu has been specially opened for raising rice field eel and domestic fish. by feeding earthworms, the feed cost of rice field eel can be saved more than 100,000 yuan, and the profit of rice field eel alone exceeded 300000 yuan last year. Today, there are more than 3000 Hu sheep in the sheep farm, and there is more sheep dung. Wang Weilin is preparing to set up an organic fertilizer processing plant. In this way, the original price of only 200 yuan per ton of sheep dung, after processing, the price can be increased to more than 600 yuan per ton.

What makes Wang Weilin feel more secure is that since Zhejiang started the transformation and upgrading of animal husbandry, Zhejiang has attached great importance to the lake sheep industry. This year, the province also listed lake sheep as a characteristic advantage animal husbandry and launched the implementation of the "three-year Action Plan for Promotion and Development." one of the directions advocated is the "ecological cycle." In Wang Weilin's view, it is imperative to adjust the structure and change the mode of agricultural development, and the key lies in finding the market and grasping marketing, which will always be his main direction.
