If you still think that fungus is only mass-produced in greenhouses or factories, then you are "0ut". Today, seven post-90s college students from Northeast Agricultural University have developed a new technology for cultivating Auricularia auricula in rice fields to achieve diversified cultivation of the land, while making use of the mutually beneficial relationship between plants to bring the cultivation of Auricularia auricula back to nature.

The oxygen released by rice can promote the growth of Auricularia auricula, and the carbon dioxide released by Auricularia auricula is exactly what rice needs. Jia Qi, a sophomore from the Food College, was one of the members of the seven-member group. As soon as she met the reporter, she talked about their innovative "cultivation Sutra" of fungus.

Jia Qi told reporters that the idea of cultivating fungus in the rice field came from a rice farmer at the grass-roots level. One day in the summer of 2012, when students from the Food College went for an internship at the Wuchang off-campus practice base, a rice farmer asked the team teacher how to make use of the free space in the paddy field to grow something else and increase his income. After returning to school, the leading teacher came up with the idea of using the ridges and furrows of the rice fields to cultivate fungus, and entrusted the "task" to seven people, including Jia Qi, who just entered school in 2013.

Jiaqi said that when she first took over the "task," she was very confused. The eldest of them was 22 years old and the youngest was only 20 years old. They were busy under the guidance of their teachers every day, and they didn't know what they really wanted.

The research and development of a man-made essential oil soap can earn 10,000 to 20,000 yuan a year, which is a great wealth for a college student. Jiaqi said that it should be the dream of every college student to use what she has learned to find a way to start a business.

Since then, seven post-90s students from different majors will gather on campus after class to study the method of cultivating Auricularia auricula in rice fields. After a lot of practice and investigation in the agaric planting area in the province, finally, under the guidance of the teacher, they developed the cultivation technique of Auricularia auricula, which was wrapped in plastic bags and hung in the furrows of rice fields with suitable nutrients. Jia Qi said that although the yield of this kind of fungus, which is similar to growing in the wild, is about 600 jin per mu, which is about 300 jin less than that cultivated in the greenhouse or factory building, it is thick in meat, rich in nutrition, and the highest price can be more than 90 yuan per catty. It is about twice as expensive as ordinary fungus.

At present, the seven post-90s are considering setting up a company whose name is tentatively "refreshing". Jia Qi said that now there are two venture capital companies that are interested in their fungus cultivation technology and are willing to invest. Jia Qi said: at present, they should set up the company, improve various systems, and then talk about development plans. (reporter Sun Yingxin)
