As a last resort, Zhang Jie sold his two houses in downtown Dalian, paid his employees, and started all over again.

Finally, Zhang Jie and the three friends paid 2 million yuan each and contracted for more than 200 mu of land with a total of 8 million yuan and began to plant cherries.

Zhang Jie: it's called impulse now. At that time, I only thought that agriculture seemed to be fun, and it was quite profitable to watch other people grow cherries. Actually, I want to plant some cherries and make some money.

In early 2009, Zhang Jie planted more than 10,000 cherry trees. But at the beginning of 2011, Zhang Jie saw that more than 5000 cherry trees had died. Zhang Jie asked an expert that it was the wrong kind of cherry. In March 2011, Zhang Jie carefully selected cherry varieties suitable for local growth and planted more than 3000 cherry trees. But unexpectedly, nearly 2000 trees died. Zhang Jie invited professional technicians to see it again, only to find that this time it was the drainage ditch of the base that had been repaired upside down. More than two years, nearly 7000 cherry trees died, and the four people lost a total of more than 7 million yuan, which made Zhang Jie feel that they were not suitable for growing cherries at all.

Zhang Jie: as the old saying goes, cherries are delicious and trees are hard to plant. We worked in the Internet industry before, and we felt that the Internet industry seemed to be an industry with high technology content. In fact, we can see that agriculture is a real industry with deep technology content. In fact, urban people go to the countryside, in fact, go to farming and then study, in fact, we do not suggest to do it. It is necessary to leave the professional work to the professional agricultural technicians to complete the better planting. It must not be a good thing for me to grow cherries by myself. Dig out the good varieties of those high-quality agricultural products, so that they can grow better and get a good performance in this market. I think this is something we can do better.
