"half an acre of Fangtang is open, and the sky lingers." In Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan, the ecological farm of Zhong Fugui, a native of Miaoli County, has a pastoral scenery similar to that described by the ancient poet Zhu Xi. By the pond where chickens, ducks and geese swim, some tourists are feasting on the authentic "green shell, white belly, yellow hair and golden claws" hairy crabs in the restaurant.

Miaoli is an agricultural county in central Taiwan. Breeding hairy crabs has been developed here for only a few years as a new industry. "the autumn wind is blowing and the crab's feet are itchy." In Taiwan, there are plenty of gluttonous people who like hairy crabs, and some even fly to Yangcheng Lake in Jiangsu Province every year during the golden autumn. However, for many years, due to the shortage of self-production on the island and the high price of imported crabs, it is difficult for many people to enjoy the food.

In the second half of 2011, the head of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Strait who has been visiting Taiwan in Miaoli County asked whether he could ask the mainland to send experts to guide hairy crab farming. This request soon received a positive response from the relevant mainland authorities, which led to the technical cooperation between Shanghai and Miaoli hairy crabs.

Since January 2012, Miaoli County has imported crab fry from Shanghai every year. "Crab Baby" comes out of the water from Chongming Island and flies all the way to Miaoli. Shanghai Ocean University sent a group of experts to Miaoli to promote ecological crab farming technology. Over the past four years, Miaoli imported more than 2 million crab seedlings from Shanghai, and there are 75 crab breeding enterprises in the county, covering an area of more than 32 hectares. This year, the output of hairy crabs in the county will reach about 150000, with an output value of about 45 million yuan.
