Eighteen years ago, Tian Maoqing, a Tujia man who worked out of town, returned to his hometown and began to plant mushrooms with his brother Tian Maojun.

"I used to learn to grow mushrooms when I was working in a factory, but when I came back, there was no other industry to do, so I thought of this planting technique, and I had to work hard on my own for a better life." Tian Maoqing told reporters.

It is the first step that costs troublesome. Because of the lack of technology and funds, the two brothers only dared to invest 2000 yuan at the beginning, groping while planting, and the whole village was not optimistic about them growing mushrooms.

"after several failures, my father refused to support us. He said that you can't make a living, but you still have to farm in order not to be hungry." Remembering that his family did not understand at the beginning, Tian Maoqing said with a wry smile.

The cruelty of reality did not break the brothers. Tian Maoqing continued: "failure is the mother of success. The more we fail, the more we have to continue to work. Only by constantly groping for a way out can we have a final way out, or there will never be a way out!"

With the stubbornness of Tujia people, the two brothers gritted their teeth and continued to grow mushrooms. I don't know how many times they failed, and finally mastered the technology of growing mushrooms.

With the technology, the two brothers began to scale up slowly. "Last year, a total of 100 tons of mushrooms were planted, with a net income of 150000 yuan per person, equivalent to the total income from farming in the past 15 years." The brothers told the reporter.

"these mushrooms in the shed can be picked in about 5 to 7 days as long as they reach the right temperature. This year, we expect mushroom production to reach about 150 tons. Before early autumn, our mushroom market price was six or seven yuan per jin. Supply fell short of demand and sales were hot. " Tian Maoqing was busy watering the newborn mushroom while accounting for the reporter.

When it comes to future development, the Tian Maoqing brothers are confident. "in the next step, we will continue to expand the planting industry and lead the villagers in the village to get rich together!" In their eyes, this blossoming little mushroom will hold up an "umbrella to get rich" for the rest of life.
