"I can't live without these pheasants every day. I can't feel at ease when I don't see them for a day." Qin Qibang said happily. Carefully feeding, observing the face, preparing food... taking care of flocks of pheasants three meals a day has become a great joy in Qin Qibang's life.

In Shanji Village, Lemin Town, Pubei County, Qin Qibang's name has long been a household name. Qin Qibang, who is honest and enthusiastic, is not only a professional chicken farmer in Shanji Village, but also a rich man in a poor mountain village. Qin Qibang began raising chickens at the age of 20. Now, more than 10,000 chickens are exported to Nanning, Guangdong and other places every year, with an annual income of nearly one million yuan.

Every day, Qin Qibang rides a motorcycle along the winding narrow mountain road to send chicken feed to the top of the mountain. On the top of the mountain, which is 500 mu in size, all kinds of trees are lush, and under a dense green shade, Qin Qibang's chicken farm is located there. "There are more than 5,000 chickens at this ridge and thousands at another. This is the second batch of native pheasants. They have been raised for more than 80 days. It is time for the chickens to grow and I have to feed them well. Put enough food in the chicken trough every day to keep the chickens from starving." Qin Qibang said with a smile as he sprinkled chicken feed into the chicken trough.

Every day, Qin Qibang added chicken feed three times. Chicken feed is a mixture of corn and peanut bran. Qin Qibang told reporters that corn is after high temperature disinfection, for 20 years, he has been doing so. Facts have also proved that after chickens eat sterilized corn, the disease is indeed reduced a lot. With 20 years of chicken raising experience, Qin Qibang knows chickens like the back of his hand. Now, by the smell and color of chicken manure, Qin Qibang can know the health of pheasants.

Temperature control lamp

In Qin Qibang's chicken shed, the reporter saw a incandescent lamp hanging here. When the reporter asked about the role of incandescent lamps, Qin Qibang explained: "This is used for chicken insulation at night." Incandescent lamp bulb wattage is not the same, the purpose is to adjust the temperature of the chicken shed. Especially in the chicken seedling stage, the indoor temperature is particularly important. In the first month, the brightness of the bulb should be used to adjust the indoor temperature reasonably every night to urge the chickens to grow healthily. This is the most difficult and critical month for raising native pheasants, affecting the growth quality and even survival rate of this batch of chickens."

As night fell, Qin Qibang pressed the light switch. When the lights came on, chickens all over the mountain returned to their tents. "The lights stay on all night so the pheasant wakes up and pecks." Qin Qibang told reporters.

Qin Qibang introduced that the drinking water of Tushan chicken is mountain spring water rich in minerals. In pure natural mountain spring water, proper addition of disinfectants, vitamins, glucose, etc. will form the drinking water of the pheasant. The mixed water can increase the nutrition of native pheasants, ensure that native pheasants are sold at a high speed and on time, and also distinguish native pheasants from other types of farmed chickens. After four months of feeding, we have to carefully screen the pheasants. The weak pheasant will be thrown into the pond at the foot of the mountain to feed the fish. The tilapia in the pond are growing rapidly because of their meat. They are almost five or six kilograms each. You can also get a considerable income from selling fish alone." Qin Qibang said. As for the remaining chicken manure, Qin Qibang sold it to fruit farmers in Lingshan, Heng County and other places at a price of 3 jiao per catty for use as farm manure.

The pheasant can be sold after about 140 days of feeding. Qin Qibang said,"On average, each chicken can reach more than 2.5 kilograms, and each kilogram can be sold for 26 yuan." For large customers, we sell about 3,000 to 5,000 in each batch." At present, Qin Qibang raised pheasant has been exported to Guangdong Maoming and Dongguan, Yulin Beiliu and Rong County and other places. Over the past 20 years, gratifying income has also made Qin Qibang's waist bulging. He not only built a two-story "villa-style" building decorated inside and outside at home, but also owned a valuable off-road car. Now, mention him, pheasant village villagers have thumbs up. "A single flower does not make spring, but a hundred flowers make spring." On weekdays, Qin Qibang will also actively teach farming techniques to villagers. He said that more villagers should be driven to participate in the breeding of pheasant industry, so that the villagers of pheasant village are rich, so that pheasants in pheasant village fly farther away.
