For young people, should they choose a high-paying job in a big city or go back to their hometown to work in agriculture? This question is not difficult to choose. However, Xin Yongfei, who has worked in Shenzhen for 10 years, resolutely gave up his high-paying job and concentrated on returning to Baoji, Shaanxi, to help local farmers buy and sell fruits and vegetables. What's the matter with having an interesting career?

In 2005, Xin Yongfei finished his studies and went to Shenzhen to work hard. He is engaged in circuit board test program development and stress testing, which is a member of the "programmer" community in the IT circle. After more than 10 years of training, Xin Yongfei has become a professional in this field, with a growing burden on his shoulders and a rising income.

However, the feeling of wandering outside for many years did not make him feel happy. He missed the beauty of his hometown all the time, until one day, he decided to make a change. "I don't want to continue to be a code farmer. I just want to be closer to my parents, and I really want to help people in my hometown do something." Xin Yongfei told reporters that many years of outbound vision, as well as programmer project management experience, may be able to help people from home.

In March 2015, Xin Yongfei officially quit his IT job, which he was good at, and packed his bags and returned to Baoji. The smell of his hometown made him feel cordial and full. Baoji is one of the cities with a population of one million in Shaanxi, but the local agricultural development level is not developed, compared with Shandong, Henan, Guangdong and other places, there is still a big gap. Xin Yongfei decided to start a new business from the agricultural industry he was familiar with.

The first thing Xiao Xin did when he returned to his hometown was to inspect and familiarize himself with the local agricultural situation. Baoji is very rich in agricultural products, rich in high-quality peaches, watermelons, strawberries, cherries, as well as a variety of vegetables, honey, native chicken and so on. Watermelons, in particular, are shipped as much as 1 million jin a day at peak times in summer.

After having a clear grasp of the supply channels of local agricultural products, Xin Yongfei decided to start with an agricultural products broker (agent). His specific job was to find buyers across the country to help local farmers sell fruits and vegetables. These buyers include local wholesale market owners, traders, as well as all kinds of food processing enterprises.

Unlike traditional old brokers, Xin Yongfei has a more sensitive sense of smell for Internet channels and believes more in the power of the Internet. In October, Xin Yongfei found an agricultural product trading APP called "one mu of farmland" after comparing a series of Internet channels, and tried to publish some agricultural information on it. Soon, Xiao Xin received a phone call from the buyer. In the first month, he helped local farmers sell more than 20 tons of radish.

Xin Yongfei soon realized that the Internet may also be the best way to completely solve the "difficulty in selling" and "untenable bidding" of agricultural products. Baoji happened to suffer from unsalable vegetables this year. "many farmers' vegetables have to rot in the fields because they can't find buyers." Many southern customers need to collect these dishes, but they do not know that Baoji food is so cheap, and Baoji farmers do not know the purchasing needs of southern customers, which is the problem of information asymmetry. One mu of land can just solve this problem of information asymmetry, "Xin Yongfei told reporters."

Xin Yongfei said, for example, when Baoji cauliflower was the cheapest this year, it cost 10 cents per jin, and 3000 jin of land sold for 300 yuan per mu. If you hire someone, the labor cost is more than 300 yuan. Radish can only be sold for 10 cents at most this year, and if you don't make money, it can only rot in the field. "in the past, there was no Internet platform like one mu of farmland, and most domestic farmers could only rely on agents they knew in the past to pick up the goods, and had to wait passively for someone to receive the goods. If you encounter a bumper harvest year and few merchants come, prices will fall rapidly and lead to unsalable sales. "

Xin Yongfei is applying to become a contracted supplier of one mu of land to get more traffic and merchants' attention. "I help farmers publish their products online. If they have any problems with their products, they can deduct my deposit and indemnify them to the buyer." Because I have a good relationship and trust with farmers, I will not let farmers start prices on the land. "Xin Yongfei has a bigger idea: to become the spokesman of" one mu of farmland "in Baoji, on the one hand, to help one mu of land promote APP, teach farmers to promote online, on the other hand, he can also integrate Baoji's agricultural products supply, and help buyers find better agricultural products more easily.

Xin Yongfei is also thinking about new Internet channels such as Taobao, Alibaba and Wechat marketing. Although the volume of these channels is small, Xiao Xin believes that there is also a need to learn. In his words, "the Internet is the possibility of linking everything. Only when farmers learn the Internet can they gain strong viability." This is also the value of our generation of young people returning to their hometown to start a business and help their hometown.
