"eight mountains and one river half divide the field, half divide the road and manor", this is the common name of Xihu Township since ancient times. On May 21, the reporter drove to Xihu Township for an interview. As soon as he entered the township, he was in high spirits. Xihu Xiangshan Qingshuixiu, mountain love meandering, clouds, dense forests, rich in animal and plant resources, is the best environmental conditions for the growth of tea. In recent years, the township has seized the opportunity and taken advantage of the opportunity to vigorously implement the national agricultural development strategy, and carried out the development of organic tea and famous and high-quality tea. Through a series of measures to promote tea, such as "expanding and building a garden, changing varieties, transforming low yield, and scientific management", at the same time, a tea nursery garden of nearly 50 mu has been developed, providing 5 million commercial tea seedlings inside and outside the province every year. So far, the township has built a total of more than 2100 mu of new tea gardens, transformed more than 3600 mu of old tea gardens, and the total area of tea gardens has exceeded 10, 000 mu.

Recently, on a tea mountain 800 meters above sea level in Yangjiaping Village, Fuliang County, Jiangxi Province, on the border with Anhui Province, the reporter saw three tea farmers busy pruning tea leaves. The middle-aged man walking in front is the owner of the tea garden, named Wang Aimin, who is exactly what the reporter is looking for.

Wang Aimin pointed to our way up the mountain and told the reporter: "Tea farmers have always walked up to pick tea leaves. It takes an hour or two to get to the top of the tea garden. Later, through government investment, we tea farmers hit a machine ploughing road. We tea farmers saved two or three hours back and forth. Our tea farmers' tea and fertilizers, including transportation conditions, have saved a lot of time. It only takes more than 10 minutes for tea farmers to come up on motorcycles to pick tea, which has brought us great benefits! " He said that in the past, tea was picked by hand, generally about 30 jin per person per day, while the average per person can pick more than 150 jin a day with a tea picker, which greatly improves labor efficiency.

Yangjiaping Village is located in the remote, 85 kilometers away from the county seat, 15 kilometers to the seat of the township government, the traffic is very inconvenient. There are more than 70 families in the village, each of whom has only 4 fields, and there is not enough food to eat. Economic income mainly depends on tea and Camellia oleifera seeds. In the past, the average annual income was only 3,000 to 4,000 yuan, and life was tight. Wang Aimin, born in 1973, returned home after graduating from high school. He originally planned to develop tea production by relying on the 60 mu alpine tea garden left by his ancestors, but the reality made him back down. Although the alpine tea produced by Yangjiaping is of good quality and does not worry about the market, due to traffic constraints, picking and transporting tea are carried shoulder-to-shoulder and have a long way to go. They cannot pick any tea in a day, and many of them are always on trees, and the economic benefits are very low. At that time, in addition to picking some spring tea to make famous and high-quality tea for sale, Wang Aimin left it wasted on the trees for summer tea and autumn tea. He went outside to collect tea for others and became a "second trader."

In order to build the brand of "Fuliang Tea" and help people shake off poverty and become rich, Fuliang County vigorously supported the tea industry and formulated a series of preferential policies to benefit farmers during the 12th five-year Plan period. A large amount of money has been invested in the transformation of the county's low-yield tea garden, the construction of machine tillage roads, and the purchase of tea processing machinery with a 30% financial subsidy. From 2010 to 2012, a 7000-meter machine ploughing road was built in Yangjiaping Chashan, where cars can be driven directly to Chashan, which greatly facilitates the production and life of tea farmers. Due to the high mountains and steep slopes and inconvenient transportation, in order to increase the output of tea, Wang Aimin said that in the past, tea farmers used chemical fertilizer, the cost was high, and the quality of tea was also affected. Since the advent of machine farming, people no longer use chemical fertilizer and switch to special organic fertilizer for tea, which greatly saves costs and increases income.

Over the past five years, Wang Aimin has bought one green killing machine, five kneading machines, three tea machines, and three baking machines, totaling 82300 yuan, and the government has subsidized 24690 yuan in agricultural machinery, but only 57610 yuan has actually been spent. The tea garden has grown from 60 mu to 300 mu, and its economic income has increased several times. His family moved to the seat of the township government to build a new house and a tea processing factory. He teamed up with tea farmers in the three villages of West Lake, Tea Bao and Yangjiaping to form a professional tea cooperative, and life became more and more prosperous.

Talking about his future plans, Wang Aimin replied: "with the development of the market, I personally aim at the medium-and low-grade tea market." In order to expand the processing scale, a factory building with an annual processing capacity of 500 tons of tea and 700 square meters is being expanded, which is expected to be put into use in May next year, leading more tea farmers to take the road to shake off poverty and become rich during the 13th five-year Plan period.
