Shi Conglin is a villager of Balang Group, Yangfeng Village, Baiquan Town, Dushan County. In the early years, he opened a chicken farm and set up a winery after failure. In 2013, after Shi Junlin served as Deputy Director of Yangfeng Village Committee of Baiquan Town, he invested millions to try to plant Radix Isatidis and Sophora japonica and actively explore rich industries.

In 1999, after graduating from Shi Conglin High School, he successively worked in rubber shoe factory and school uniform factory. Over the years, he had some savings of his own. In 2005, he set up a chicken farm with more than 70,000 yuan saved and started his first venture in his life. The chicken farm developed smoothly. After careful management and operation, it had an income of more than 70,000 yuan in the second year, and initially tasted the joy of successful entrepreneurship.

Days have unexpected events, a sudden change to start a business on the head of the stone forest ruthlessly poured a basin of cold water. In 2009, an outbreak of avian influenza killed thousands of chickens on chicken farms. Due to the difficulty of capital turnover, Shi Junlin's first venture had to end in failure.

After that, he went to Guangdong, Zhejiang and other places to work.

Although there was a failed experience, Shi Junlin always harbored the dream of starting a business. After the Spring Festival in 2012, he started a winery with the money he had saved from working for several years. With the ancestral formula of the preparation of wine medicine, stone jungle brewing wine is very popular, product supply exceeds demand, annual profit of more than 10 million yuan.

"There are failures and successes in everything, and it's the same for starting a business. This is normal." When it comes to entrepreneurial feelings, Shi Junlin is very calm.

Shi Junlin was usually enthusiastic and capable about things big and small in the village. He had always been recognized by the masses. In 2013, Shi Conglin was elected Deputy Director of Yangfeng Village, Baiquan Town under the strong recommendation of village leaders.

After becoming a village cadre, Shi Junlin first considered how to lead the masses to become rich together. "One person is not rich, everyone is rich." Shi Junlin always thought so.

How to choose industries according to local conditions? Shi Junlin learned that planting Isatis root is very good, one mu of land can have an annual income of more than 10,000 yuan, and the local planting conditions are also good.

After self-cultivation, in 2015, 140 mu of Isatis root was planted in Stone Forest. At present, Banlangen is nearly half a meter high and can be harvested in two months.

In addition to Radix Isatidis, Shi Junlin also wants to plant locust tree. Sophora japonica is a leguminous plant, its flower buds called sophora japonica, sophora japonica has a wide range of medicinal value.

As early as 2004, Shi Junlin knew something about sophora japonica. In recent years, he has been paying attention to the market situation of Huaimei. After a long period of follow-up understanding, he found that sophora flower prices are more stable and have an upward trend.

In 2015, Shi Junlin found several friends, borrowed part of the money, and planted more than 100,000 locust seedlings on the contracted hillside. Together with artificial soil preparation, planting, fertilization and other expenses, millions of yuan were spent before and after.

"The investment in planting locust trees is larger and the cycle is longer. If you want to lead everyone in planting, you have to plant it first and let everyone see that you have earned money. That's how it works." he said.

"Next year we can get around 30,000 pounds of sophora. If you calculate it at 30 yuan per catty, you can repay the loan first." Shi Junlin pondered.

Driven by the stone jungle, the surrounding masses also began to develop Isatis root and locust tree planting. Everyone signed agreements with him one after another. Up to now, the planting area of Banlangen by the masses has increased from a few mu before to more than 100 mu now, and the planting area of locust tree also has more than 80 mu.

How to strengthen village-level collective economy and remove the label of "empty shell village" is an important work of rural grass-roots organizations at present. Shi Junlin has invested millions of yuan to take the lead in planting Radix Isatidis and Sophora japonica by borrowing loans and finding partners, in order to lead the masses to develop industries and become rich together and lay the foundation for eliminating "empty villages".
