Two chicken farms, 30,000 chickens, fixed assets of more than 4 million yuan, annual profit of more than 500,000 yuan. Behind these figures is Wen Yamei's arduous entrepreneurial history. As an ordinary rural woman in Houbaijiagou Village, Yihe Town, Suide County, she was not covered by the shadow of poverty, but chose to find a way to get rich through hard work. Today, she has become a well-known chicken farmer, spelling out a new world of her own in laying hen farming. Personally rich is not rich, caring about the masses, she set up a professional chicken farming cooperative in 2010, leading the surrounding neighbors to embark on the road to prosperity.

Following the trend of the Times-- starting your own Business and Building a Chicken Farm

In early 1996, in the spring tide of the vigorous development of the market economy, Wen Yamei and her husband Liu Yali decided to build their own chicken farms to change the fate of poverty. The two men, together with a number of relatives and friends, raised more than 150000 yuan to build a chicken farm and brought back the first batch of more than 3000 chickens from Shanxi Province. "from the first day we picked up the chicks, we turned around the chicks 24 hours a day, boiling water, dispensing, dispensing, immunizing, cleaning and disinfecting feed buckets and buckets, cleaning feces, and so on." Wen Yamei recalled that at that time, they were full of drive and were never afraid of hardship, and every link was carried out in strict accordance with the chicken breeding procedure, and the hardship was imaginable, especially in the chicken coop where the temperature was higher, dripping the nose of the chicks one by one. Exhausted.

In the meantime, Wen Yamei's husband, Liu Yali, went out to learn chicken farming skills for more than a month, but problems still appeared again and again, far from meeting the needs of the entire farming management. To this end, they often go to bookstores and libraries, buy books and check materials, visit and learn from other people's farms, and slowly accumulate breeding experience. More than a year of hard work has finally been rewarded, tens of thousands of yuan of income let the couple ecstatic, holding in their hands again and again to count. "the joy of starting a business for the first time is indescribable, and it makes us confident in the cause of raising chickens." Wen Yamei said happily.

Accumulate experience and set up a company

In 1998, when the breeding industry was booming, due to lack of experience, more than 5000 laying hens who had just reached the peak of egg production in the chicken farm fell ill and died of death. in the end, less than 3000 laying hens were eliminated at 5 yuan each, and everything went down the drain, losing more than 130000 yuan. The disillusionment of hope did not intimidate Wen Yamei. She always adhered to her belief, asked relatives and friends everywhere to raise money, and insisted on running the chicken farm.

In early 2004, Wen Yamei went to Shanxi, Hebei, Xi'an and other places to inspect, consulted experts, visited experts, and visited large-scale breeding farms. Knowing that the stock of laying hens in the country had plummeted, she decided that this was a good time and decided to expand the scale. She leased 42 mu of land and expanded the chicken farm into a large-scale farm with automatic feeding, automatic drinking water and automatic manure removal, which has since ushered in a golden period of development.

In 2008, Wen Yamei registered and established Luxin Livestock and Poultry breeding Co., Ltd., Suide County, and now has two trademarks: "Suidhan" and "Qianshi Bridge". In addition to selling fresh eggs in this county, they are also exported to Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Yan'an, Yanchang and other provinces, cities and counties, forming a good reputation among consumers.

Set up a cooperative-- lead the villagers to get rich together

In 2010, relying on the development of the company, Wen Yamei established Sui Dehan Chicken raising Professional Cooperative and served as a legal person and chairman. Cooperatives adopt the joint development model of "cooperatives + companies + associations + bases + farmers" to provide farmers with services such as purchase of means of production, unified packaging of products, sales, transportation and storage, and gradually form an industrial chain that integrates production, supply and marketing, driving to help more than 360 neighboring households and supporting and training 20 chicken farmers with more than 1,000 chickens. Mainly distributed in Yihe, Zhongjiao, Jizhen, Mantangchuan, Xuejiahe and other villages and towns.

In order to solve the worries of the villagers, Wen Yamei provided free pre-sale and after-sales technical services for farmers, teaching farmers immune techniques such as eye drops, nose drops, mouth drops, broken pecks, injections, and thorns for chicks, and imparted breeding experience and techniques to them, and provided them with all kinds of breeding information. "now the scale of these helping farmers is also expanding, and their living standards are constantly improving. There are 6 farmers with more than 4000." Wen Yamei said happily. Today, she provides more than 370 tons of eggs to the market every year, so that more people can eat high-quality eggs.
