In 1999, crab farming in the river in Mengcheng County, Anhui Province had just started. The Euryale River meandering on the land of its hometown is rich in grass, wide in water and clear in water quality. These rich natural conditions attracted Zhao Xiaojun, so he gave up the idea of going out to work and began to contract 1000 mu of Euryale water to raise crabs.

From 2000 to 2007, Zhao Xiaojun experienced many failures, especially the worst loss caused by the flood that occurred in many years in 2003, but he did not give up and continued to explore river crab farming. In 2009, our county held a professional and technical training course on people's livelihood engineering fishery. After hearing the news, Zhao Xiaojun actively signed up to participate. At that time, the centralized training teachers were Professor an Nong University, a famous aquatic expert in our province. Professor Zu focused on the knowledge of river crab culture according to the actual situation of fishery production in our county. Zhao Xiaojun was greatly inspired. At that time, he changed the stocking model for many years, reduced the stocking density and increased the stocking specifications. In that year, his river crab farming achieved a bumper harvest, and the net income of river crab breeding reached more than 800,000 yuan. In 2011, our county also held a training course for fishery practitioners of the people's livelihood project, and in 2012, our county also held a training course for large aquaculture farmers of the people's livelihood project and a professional training course for farmers starting a business aquaculture of the people's livelihood project. Zhao Xiaojun actively signed up to participate in each training course, and every time he is the most serious and studious student in the training class.

In 2015, 50 new professional farmers in Mengcheng County were trained in aquatic products, and Zhao Xiaojun was selected as a trainee. He studied conscientiously both in theory and in practice, and was an excellent student of the training course.

In the past two years, Zhao Xiaojun has expanded the area of river crab farming and discussed a new stocking model-- crab farming in ponds, and the efficiency of breeding has also improved year by year. Zhao Xiaojun led the whole family to embark on the road of becoming rich in the fishing industry. Zhao Xiaojun is not satisfied with his own road to get rich, in order to drive the surrounding and county-wide river crab farmers to jointly embark on the road of raising crabs to get rich. In 2010, he summoned the big river crab farmers in the Euryale River and Beimian River in our county and set up a professional cooperative for river crab farming in Mengcheng County. In the first half of 2011, Zhao Xiaojun registered the city's first river crab brand, "South Euryale and North Mill", and is currently applying for a pollution-free river crab brand.

Through several consecutive training in fishery knowledge of the people's livelihood project, coupled with his own practice and exploration in river crab breeding for many years, Zhao Xiaojun summed up the successful experience and technology of river crab ecological culture in northern Anhui.

Zhao Xiaojun, as a large aquaculture farmer and the person in charge of the river crab farming professional cooperative, has a certain prestige among the river crab farmers. During the intensive training, he listened carefully and dared to ask all kinds of questions to the instructors; during the on-site technical guidance, he was able to actively assist the instructors in the on-site guidance of the training; in the promotion of new technologies and new varieties, organize the surrounding trainees to conduct bold experiments, constantly grasp all kinds of breeding data, and actively contact the instructors to seek various problems that need to be solved in aquaculture. Especially in the release of river crab seedlings, he can strictly control the quality and density of river crabs, so that the specifications of river crabs are 150-200 / kg and the density is 120 / mu. In management, he can timely remind farmers to do a good job in seedling monitoring, fence net cleaning and other work, and eliminate enemy organisms through effective methods. In the process of the growth and sale of river crabs, Comrade Zhao Xiaojun promptly reminded farmers to do a good job in catching and selling river crabs, maximize their income, and adhere to frequent and early contact in the process of production. to explore the problems in the process of breeding.

Zhao Xiaojun is not only a big aquaculture farmer in our county, but also the person in charge of the river crab breeding professional cooperative and an excellent trainee in fishery technical training. In 2010, Bozhou Municipal people's Government awarded other city the title of model worker. On November 6, 2011, sponsored by Shanghai Ocean University and co-organized by China Fisheries Association, Shanghai Agricultural Commission and other units, at the Fifth "Harvest Cup" National River Crab Competition, the Chinese mitten crab sent by Mengcheng County Broad River Crab breeding Professional production Cooperative on behalf of northern Anhui stood out among more than 100 units across the country and won the "quality" award of the Fifth Harvest Cup National River Crab Competition. This laid the foundation for the river crabs farmed in Mengcheng County to give priority to entering the Shanghai aquatic product market, and created another famous brand of high-quality aquatic products for Anhui Province. Although the river crabs raised in Mengcheng County are of good quality, they have not formed their own brands and markets for many years, and have not been recognized by consumers in some large and medium-sized cities. The Broad River Crab farming Cooperative led by Zhao Xiaojun won the "quality" award for the first time in the "Harvest Cup" national river crab competition, and then won the "quality" award in 2012, demonstrating once again the quality and brand of river crab farming in Mengcheng County.
