Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Wang Aijun returned to his hometown to start a business and led the villagers to get rich on their doorstep.

In the memory of Wang Aijun in Chenfang Village, Sunjiazhuang Town, Yuxian County, his parents lived frugally and cobbled together the villagers for tuition fees.

As the saying goes, the children of the poor are in charge early. Wang Aijun has always kept in mind what his family has done and the help of the villagers. When he graduated from high school, the 20-year-old gave up the chance to take the college entrance examination and decided to shoulder the burden of his family with his parents. He resolutely packed up his suitcase and started a part-time job out of town.

After several years of hard work, Wang Aijun has a little savings. He set his eyes on the automobile transportation industry and invested all his savings. Later, he gathered together the idle young workers in the village and set up a construction company to undertake cable projects everywhere. From working with others to leading the villagers to start a business, Wang Aijun brought the villagers not only an increase in income, but also the kind of energy that dared to think and work.

In 2007, Wang Aijun found that the vegetable market in Yuxian County was in short supply, so he came up with the idea of using the land resources of the village to develop facility vegetables. Originally did a good job, suddenly want to change careers, the family is strongly opposed to this matter.

Wang Aijun was 32 years old at that time and had nearly 600000 yuan in savings. He knew that the unanimous opposition of his family was for fear that the savings saved by years of hard work would be wasted.

Wang Aijun knew what risk meant to him, but he saw more hope. "if this is done, the villagers will be able to increase their income and become rich at home."

After a year of market investigation, Wang Aijun's entrepreneurial confidence has become more firm. He joined hands with five villagers in the village to set up a professional planting cooperative in Xinsheng, Yuxian County, and contracted 50 mu of land in the village through land transfer. A high-standard, long-span solar greenhouse of 20 mu was built with an investment of 1.05 million yuan, which was fully put into production at the end of October 2008. At the beginning of the following year, the first batch of facility vegetables they planted were successfully put on the market.

At the end of July 2009, 200000 kilograms of vegetables planted by the cooperative went on the market, with sales income of 450000 yuan and net income of 200000 yuan. At the same time, 15 idle workers were arranged in the village. At the villagers' meeting that year, Wang Aijun put forward a proposal to expand the scale of the greenhouse, and the members of the cooperative unanimously agreed. They also transferred 150 mu of land in the neighboring Shihuiping village. At the end of September, the construction of an additional 80 mu solar greenhouse was also completed.

Just as Wang Aijun and the villagers were preparing for a big fight, the vegetable greenhouse was hit by the worst blizzard in a century. All the greenhouses collapsed overnight, and the seedlings of 38 varieties such as strawberries and watermelons introduced that year were frozen to death, and the direct economic loss of the cooperative reached 5.8 million yuan.

Without waiting for the snow to stop, Wang Aijun led his staff to help themselves. With the support and help of governments at all levels, most of the greenhouses were put into production again in less than two months.

As early as in the early days of greenhouse construction, Wang Aijun won 100000 yuan in start-up loans from local rural credit cooperatives. After the cooperative made a profit, Wang Aijun and his partners immediately paid off the loan and debt. With a good credit record, Wang Aijun quickly got another loan during the reconstruction of the greenhouse after the disaster.

The facilities needed for reconstruction came from a manufacturer in Shandong Province, which was the equipment supplier when the greenhouse was first built. Impressed by Wang Aijun, they not only sold him facilities such as automatic shutter machines and micro-sprinkler irrigation water-saving systems at a preferential price, but also exchanged with him new techniques in grafting cultivation, soil testing and formula fertilization.

In August 2010, Wang Aijun transformed the cooperative into Shanxi Yishengyuan Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. The company operates in accordance with the market-oriented mode, the farmers who originally contributed by the partnership become shareholders, and the farmers of cooperatives are transformed into enterprise employees. In 2011, he introduced the cultivation technology of nectarine No. 12 in greenhouse from Zhengzhou Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The nectarine tree planted in 2012 lost its fruit that year. After several years of development, the company's annual income has reached about 2 million yuan.
