He did not bow to his fate. although he was disabled, he set up a native chicken farm with his own efforts and the encouragement of his family.

He studied hard, studied and practiced, constantly improved the native chicken breed, and bred the lemon soil black chicken.

With a good heart, he invited the disabled to work in his farm, hoping to get rich with them.

He is Guo Hongbo, Group 3 of Baoquan Village, Changheyuan Township, Anyue County, who is suffering from a third-grade hearing disability.

Do not bow to fate to work and be frustrated to run farms to open the way to wealth

On January 6, when the reporter saw Guo Hongbo, he was patrolling the farm. His father amplified his voice and roared twice before he heard his name and came over with a few wiping of his hands on his clothes. Guo Hongbo is small and thin in front of him.

In 2009, Guo Hongbo, who did not graduate from high school, went out to work, but after a few months, he was either uninvited or ridiculed by his co-workers, and he chose to go home and wait for his job because of his inferiority complex. In July of the same year, Guo Hongbo went to Suining to attend the Special Olympics and got to know the disabled Jia Yu. "raising chickens can not only solve the problems of one's own life, but also solve the problem of food and clothing for some of the disabled," Jia Yu said to Guo Hongbo's heart. He spent a year learning farming skills at Jia Yu, and after returning home, he set up a professional cooperative for raising black chickens in Hongbo, Anyue County.

After several years of efforts, at present, Guo Hongbo's farm area has reached more than 60 mu, breeding hens, laying hens and commercial chickens are raised in three areas, and at most, more than 10,000 chickens are kept at the same time. In 2015, the farm sold more than 20,000 commercial chickens, more than 30,000 chicken seedlings and more than 100,000 eggs, with an average annual net income of more than 200,000 yuan.

Study hard to breed hybrid chickens and cultivate independent brands to sell well

In the courtyard dam of Guo Hongbo's home, there was a clear cry of chickens from time to time, and the air conditioner outside the hatching room "whimpered". Guo Hongbo said: "although the meat quality of black chicken is very good, it does not sell well because the color of chicken feathers is not accepted by most people, especially when there is a wedding or gift giving at home."

In order to open up the market, Guo Hongbo studied and studied through the Internet during the breeding process, and conducted a whole year's hybrid experiment in 2013. In early 2014, he successfully bred a new native chicken breed using black chicken and small-legged chicken. This new chicken breed, named Lemon soil Black Chicken, inherits the meat quality of black chicken and the appearance of small-legged chicken. In order to ensure the stability of the breed, the chicken seedlings are all hatched by their own eggs.

At the same time, Guo Hongbo is also constantly innovating feeding methods, adding garlic and lemon to the grain to improve chicken disease resistance and chicken quality. now, his family's commercial chickens are in short supply.

Be kind-hearted, help the disabled and improve their lives by self-reliance

At present, Guo Hongbo's new house is affixed with outer wall tiles, and a brand-new three-story small foreign-style building is particularly eye-catching.

Guo Hongbo has not forgotten the original intention of starting a business, he has invited four disabled people to work in the farm for a long time. Among them, an Weiyong, who helped sell chickens, could not speak and used to make a living by picking up junk. Guo Yanping, who is in charge of feeding chickens and picking up eggs, is physically handicapped. He is more than 50 years old. He said: "I am very grateful to Hong Bo for providing us with employment opportunities. He has never treated us badly. He earns more than 10,000 yuan a year, which is much better than growing crops."

In addition to asking the disabled to help with the work, Guo Hongbo insisted on buying corn, lemon and garlic in the village, which well solved the problem of grain sales among the villagers. He also sold his young chickens to nearby retail investors and some farmers at a low price.

When Guo Hongbo is mentioned, the villagers around him will give a thumbs up, and most of them hope that his breeding road will be more and more smooth.
