Lan Zhizhong, who is in his 40s, has successively engaged in transportation, opened Internet cafes and Animation City when he was young. Xinfeng navel orange is the industry with the most local characteristics and the most potential for development. In 2009, Lan Zhizhong invested more than 600,000 yuan to build more than 40 mu of navel orange orchards. In orchard management, Lan Zhizhong implemented ecological planting and pollution-free management, achieved deep grass cultivation, element deficiency correction, and installed drip irrigation and other equipment. The navel orange planted was favored by the majority of consumers.

Lan Zhizhong is self-reliant, self-employed and affectionate to his fellow villagers. The management of the orchard needs a lot of manpower. In order to repay the society, when hiring people, he first thinks of the poor people in the village. In recent years, he has arranged for more than 30 poor people in the village and nearby to find jobs. In 2015 alone, 10 villagers with relatively difficult family life were recruited to work in the orchard. "Thank you very much for taking care of us, working here, earning a steady income and taking care of the children at home." Villager Zheng Wujiao said that he was very satisfied with this stable job.

In 2015, Lan Zhizhong invested nearly one million yuan to set up a large self-service restaurant in the county. After the restaurant opened, Lan Zhizhong insisted on honest management and strict control of food safety, from the purchase, cleaning, and processing of raw materials to food out of the pot and on stage.
