Amid the din of crackers goes the departing year, the winds of spring bring warmth to help the wine mature. At the Jinhan Arctic Fox breeding Base of Jinhe Forest Industry Company of Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group, every household hung fiery red lanterns and festive Spring Festival couplets were pasted on the door. The flavor of the year is still strong. On the morning of February 17, farmers Bai Zhanguo and Hu Liyan and his wife began a tense and busy day.

Bai Zhanguo worked in the front line of the mountain farm for more than 20 years and retired from the Fire Protection Office of Jinsen Company in 1997. His wife, Hu Liyan, was a large collective worker of Jinsen Company. At that time, there were two children in the family who went to school, so life was stressful and burdened. In 2001, Jinsen Company combined with the advantage of "cold" resources to encourage employees to develop the characteristic breeding industry with arctic foxes as the leader, so Bai Zhanguo and his wife began to try to raise foxes, from 8 foxes to hundreds of foxes and skin foxes, 14 years of hard work, so that they have won the titles of "Top Ten civilized Household", "Family Economic expert", "Leader of re-Employment", "National Green well-off Household" and so on.

"raising foxes has put me on the road of getting rid of poverty and becoming rich. now our forest region is in a critical period of comprehensively deepening reform, which has also brought new vigor and vitality to the development of the arctic fox industry and strengthened our confidence in our future life." Bai Zhanguo said.

Hu Liyan, Bai Zhanguo's wife, roughly calculated an account for the reporter: 12 foxes were planted in 2002, but they made little money because they had no experience at first; in 2003, there were 25 foxes and 165 foxes; in 2004, there were 43 foxes and 360 foxes; in 2005, there were 55 foxes and 420 foxes. Up to now, 2800 fox skins have been sold and more than 600 foxes have been planted, with a maximum of 2000 yuan per piece and 3200 yuan each, with a net profit of more than 1.6 million yuan.

To get rich is not to be rich, but to be rich is to be rich. Over the past few years, Bai Zhanguo and his wife have successively helped three families in need to shake off poverty and become rich, not only in fox breeding, but also in feed, cages, and vaccines to provide them with loan guarantees in the name of individuals, as well as strong support in breeding technology.

In the courtyard of Baizhan country, rows of iron cages are elevated on both sides of a straight path, with furry foxes of different sizes and colors, some screaming, some walking in the cages, some squinting to enjoy the warm sun.

When he walked into the operating room, there was a special feed for foxes neatly in the corner, next to a feeding cart refitted by Bai Zhanguo himself with large oil buckets, and the huge iron pot on the stove was filled with foxes' favorite meat and dried fish, and fox skins for sale hung in the inner room. According to Hu Liyan, Jinhe Town has a low temperature and a good variety of foxes. The fox skin of the base is large, the needle is long, and the leather is thick. It is a high-quality material for clothing decoration and down jacket collar, and is deeply loved by the majority of customers. Due to the unstable fur market, the price of fox fur is not good this year, nearly 400 fox skins are not in a hurry to sell.

Hu Liyan said: "at present, there are more than 200 households engaged in fox farming in Jinhe town. in order to alleviate the continuous decline in market prices, some farmers in the area have set up WeChat groups and adopted a variety of methods to continuously expand their sales channels."
