Wu Yiyi: leading the Peasants to get Rich "together"

From an ordinary farmer to the director of a professional cooperative, he proved through practice that he could eventually realize his dream of starting a business and becoming rich with faith and hard work, and led the villagers on the road to becoming rich. he is Wu Shiyi, deputy secretary of the general branch of the Party of Sanliang Village, the Sanliang regional service center of Tuzuo Banner.

Over the years, Wu Yiyi led local farmers to set up farmers' professional cooperatives, and through continuous exploration and struggle, he successfully embarked on a road of organizing farmers to common prosperity, made outstanding contributions to local economic and social development, and was unanimously recognized by the local government and the people.

After graduating from high school, Wu Yiyi became a private teacher in a township middle school, a position with only more than 30 yuan a month, which he held for ten years. Later, Wu Yiyi quit his job as a private teacher and started a feed consignment business with the help of colleagues and friends. In the past ten years, Wu Yiyi has more than 1 million yuan in savings and has become a well-known wealthy household in the local area. After having a certain strength, Wu Yiyi began to drive the farmers around him to promote local traditional agriculture to the development of modern agriculture. He wanted to organize farmers from one household to another and hug them into a regiment to enter the market.

In 2006, Wu Yiyi mobilized five farmers to take the lead in setting up a vegetable association in Sanliang Village. The emergence of the association gave farmers the backbone and the strength to bargain in the market. Farmers immediately tasted the benefits of "huddling together." more farmers are willing to work with Wu Yiyi.

In 2009, on the basis of the original vegetable Association, 103 farmers in Sanliang Village, led by Wu Yiyi, set up a professional cooperative for Sijiqing farmers in Tumotezuo Banner, and Wu Yiyi was elected chairman of the cooperative. in that year, the cooperative transferred 120 mu of arched land and built 30 mu of arched sheds, and these farmers finally had their own formal organization and base. In the spring of that year, the cooperative planted melons in the 30 mu arch shed, and just as the melon began to set fruit, a storm overturned the arch shed, and the investment of more than 2 million yuan was lost. The cooperative was hit hard as soon as it started, when 47 farmers quit, and the remaining 56 members continued to cobble together to raise funds to make a comeback.

After two years since 2010, the cooperative has built another 30 solar greenhouses with polystyrene board walls (effective planting area of 30 mu). In 2012, the cooperative hired technicians from Shandong and arranged the crop structure rationally. this year, the cooperative finally successfully planted two crops of eggplant and fruit vegetables, with a total annual output of 500000 jin, an output value of 600000 yuan, and an average output value of 20, 000 yuan per mu. After seeing the "benefits", local farmers asked to join the cooperative one after another.

By 2013, the membership of the cooperative has increased again to 103, so it is obvious that only the original 30-mu greenhouse can no longer meet the requirements of the cooperative. At this time, the municipal and flag governments issued preferential policies to encourage the construction of new solar greenhouses, so we transferred 1058 mu of land to the west of Sanliang Village, and built 137thick-walled solar greenhouses in November 2014, with an effective planting area of 260mu. The project has a total investment of more than 50 million yuan, and all overwintering tomatoes were planted in late November of that year. This crop of tomatoes began to appear on the market one after another during the Spring Festival, and we took the lead in the vegetable market in Hohhot and sold them at a better price. The success of overwintering cultivation of eggplant and fruit vegetables has further strengthened the confidence of cooperative members, and practice has proved that farmers can do bigger things only when they are organized. " Wu Yiyi said.

At present, Sijiqing Cooperative has two parks, 290 mu of solar greenhouse, more than 50 farmers directly engaged in greenhouse production, and 230 farmers working in the park all the year round. Farmers who directly plant greenhouses have an annual income of 60,000 yuan to 70,000 yuan, and farmers who work can each receive an annual wage income of more than 20,000 yuan. These farmers have benefited from the development of cooperatives.

In December 2015, Wu Yiyi was rated as the leader of "hundred civilized farmers and herdsmen" by the propaganda Department of Inner Mongolia Party Committee and the Office of Inner Mongolia spiritual Civilization Construction Committee.

With practical actions, Wu Yiyi set up a sample for the farmers who were still hesitating and wandering. In order to promote the common prosperity of farmers, Wu Yiyi paid unimaginable hardships and endured unbearable pressure for many years, but he finally led farmers to blaze a path to modern agriculture.
