In addition to looking for turbot parents on the beach in front of the village, he also went north to eastern Fujian and southern Zhejiang, went south to "Guangdong and Guangzhou" to choose and buy turnip parents, and asked local farmers for advice on breeding experience. In the end, he bought back a batch of cuttlefish parents from Fangcheng Port, Guangxi Province, and crossbred with Dongshan native turnip successfully. With the encouragement and support of he Chaoxian, he contracted 6 mu of shrimp ponds to raise painted fish in 2007 and earned more than 100,000 yuan in the second year. Subsequently, he Yaoyu expanded the breeding scale to 18 mu, devoted himself to breeding, and reaped a bumper harvest every year, earning more than 900,000 yuan at most. At present, he Yaoyu bought a car, went to the city to buy a house, and became a big local fish farmer.

In 2009, the Chinese Ophiocephalus Argus Culture Association was established in Xingchen Town, Dongshan County, and he Chaoxian was elected president. At present, the association has 120 members and breeds more than 2000 mu of Chinese snakehead, with an annual output value of more than 65 million yuan. The rent of local shrimp ponds has also increased more than 20 times, not only increasing the collective income of the village, but also driving the employment and prosperity of nearly 1,000 people in local farming, packaging, transportation and marketing.
