At present, there are three kinds of cherries on the market, namely, Chinese cherry, hairy cherry and European sweet cherry. Cherry is a very best-selling fruit. At present, cherries in China are mainly distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Gansu and other places, due to less production, so the market price is higher. So today the editor will teach you how to plant cherries. Let's take a look at the following content.

1. Seedbed preparation

Cherry has no requirement for soil, so we can relax the selection and arrangement of seedling bed. Generally speaking, the nursery bed should have shelter from the wind, and then after the seedbed is cleaned, the soil will be loosened and leveled, sufficient farm manure will be applied to the seedbed, the soil will be fine, and finally ditches will be opened to make beds, waiting for the surface temperature to rise to about 10 degrees Celsius. Seedlings can be cultivated.

2. Seedling cultivation

There are four methods to cultivate cherry seedlings, which are seed cultivation, seed propagation, cutting propagation, striping and grafting. Different seedling raising methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, such as slow growth and low emergence rate of cherry seedlings propagated by seeds, high survival rate of cutting propagation, but relatively complex management, and great variation of strip propagation varieties. the grafting propagation has high fruit quality and short growth cycle, but the grafting technology is not yet fully mature. No matter which method of reproduction is adopted, we need to pay attention to the management of moisture, temperature, light, ventilation and nutrients during seedling breeding, so that healthy cherry seedlings can be cultivated.

3. Daetian rectification and reform

Cherry has the characteristics of light, warmth, moisture and fertility, so it is best to choose the planting site according to its growth characteristics. Cherry trees are suitable for growing in sunny, near-water, fertile soil and leeward zones. Among them, the soil quality of the soil had better be sandy loam, so that the soil permeability and fertilizer and water retention are better. Finally, the base fertilizer is applied to the field, mainly the manure of mature livestock or ring fertilizer, combined with a small amount of compound fertilizer for hole reclamation.

4. Transplanting and planting

There are only four points we should pay attention to when transplanting cherry saplings. The first is that when transplanting, it is best to pull out together with the base soil, so that the root system of cherry seedlings will not be hurt and the survival rate of cherry seedlings can be improved. For the distance of the second planting hole, the row spacing is generally four meters and the plant spacing is three meters. The third is that when planting, we should lift the saplings up, straighten them up, and then fill the soil. Finally, after filling the soil, the ground should be compacted and watered.

5. Field management

After the young trees have been planted and survived, what we need to do is to water and fertilize regularly, and at the same time pay attention to the limited number of reasonable young trees, cultivate the crown of cherry trees and maintain the momentum of cherry trees. After the cherry trees blossom and bear fruit, we need to manage the water and fertilizer according to the cherry branch and leaf growth period, flowering period, fruit stage and late fruit picking period, and cultivate the soil irregularly. Finally, we should also pay attention to the prevention of frost and the effects of diseases and insect pests on cherry trees.

These are the planting methods of cherry trees that the editor is going to share with you today. In fact, cherry trees still have a lot of knowledge that we need to master in topdressing, watering, preventing frost damage, diseases and insect pests, and so on.
