On February 22, following the winding Panshan Road to the depths of Hongfeng Village, Huangtuling Town, Dashiqiao City, a row of standardized breeding houses appeared in front of us. Enter the farm, see groups of sika deer, are leisurely eating feed, here a total of more than 1700 sika deer.

While feeding straw to the sika deer, Li Xingwu, director of the farm, said: "the body of the deer is full of treasures, and the antler, fetus, blood, venison and bone tendons are of high economic value." The deer in the farm can lay more than 400 deer this year, the income will reach about 2 million, the antler can cut 2000 kilograms, and the income will reach about 4 million.

Farmers around Liaoning have benefited from the establishment of the Luqilin cooperative. More than 30 people in the village have been working here for many years. When the deer farm is "busy", the villagers can also take odd jobs in the cooperative. Villager Zhang Zhenrong worked in the cooperative for 36 days last autumn and received a salary of 3600 yuan. "I'm 60 years old," she said with a smile. "I'm content to find such a job in the village." The deer farm consumes about 1500 kilograms of corn feed every day and buys corn stalks from farmers at a price of 0.4 yuan per kilogram, giving farmers one more income.

Talking about future development, Li Xingwu said, "there are many treasures in deer, but we have developed too little." Since the village committee took the lead in setting up a cooperative to raise sika deer last year, more than 300 members have joined the cooperative, making a profit of 3 million yuan. After the Spring Festival, the cooperative plans to step up inspection and introduction of technology to produce a series of products such as pilose antler blood wine and deer fetal ointment, so as to increase the income of its members and enable more villagers to obtain employment nearby.
