College student village officials become "inspiring Brother" and lead the villagers to set up cooperatives to get rich.
In 2011, Zhu Chao, a university student village official, led the villagers to set up a professional cooperative for broiler breeding in Qiwa, Guantan, Xuyi County, thus embarking on the road of entrepreneurship. Today, the cooperative has an annual output of 2 million broilers, an annual profit of more than 3 million yuan, and an average household income of more than 70000 yuan. In the finals of the first Xuyi County Young Creator Competition, which ended at the end of last year, Zhu Chao won the first prize by virtue of this project. Looking back on his entrepreneurial experience over the past few years, Zhu Chao said with deep feeling that young people should aim high and never give up on their dreams even if they endure hardships and hardships, because the sun always comes after wind and rain.
Borrow money to set up a cooperative
When Zhu Chao graduated from Nanjing Audit College in July 2011, he had the opportunity to stay in Nanjing, but he eventually chose to return to his hometown of Xuyi and work as a village official in Qiwa Village, Guantan Town.
After coming to Qiwa village, Zhu Chao's first thought was how to carry out his work. Through his visit, he found that several villagers raised chickens under a leading aquaculture enterprise, and the annual income of these farmers was more than ten times that of ordinary growers. This allowed him to find a starting point for his career-raising chickens.
Zhu Chao also remembered the entrepreneurship training he had attended before entering the job, which mentioned the advantages of the entrepreneurial model of "leading enterprises + cooperatives + farmers". An entrepreneurial path gradually became clear in his mind, that is, to mobilize villagers to set up cooperatives and cooperate with large enterprises to raise chickens to get rich.
As soon as he said it, Zhu Chao immediately found several villagers who were familiar with Han Weisong, Tian Guangliang, Han Xianmi, and so on, to mobilize, but he was poured cold water on the head: "if you asked us to invest more than 100,000 yuan to build a chicken coop to raise chickens, why didn't you do it yourself?"
Let others work with you, you do it to others first. But where does the money come from? Zhu Chao had no savings, so he had to scrape together. Finally, he borrowed 50000 yuan from relatives and 100000 yuan discount loan from the bank, which scraped together the start-up capital. Soon, 1000 square meters of standardized chicken sheds sprang up. Seeing that he was "serious", the villagers began to think carefully about his proposal. Qiwa broiler breeding professional cooperative was finally established.
Cooperatives bring rich villagers
Chen Tao of Laozishan Town in Xuyi County turned out to be a fisherman on Hongze Lake, and his wife is from Qiwa Village. When he came to see his father-in-law, he often heard the villagers talk about the economic benefits of raising chickens. Compared with fishing, he thought it was good to raise chickens. Later, after consultation and understanding, he joined the cooperative and took out his savings to build three standardized chicken sheds. At present, he has made an annual profit of more than 200,000 yuan, making him a leader among farmers.
Led by Zhu Chao, 42 households and more than 100 villagers have joined the cooperative to engage in broiler breeding. At present, the cooperative has a total investment of more than 5.61 million yuan, a standardized chicken house area of 160mu, an annual output of 2 million broilers, an annual profit of more than 3 million yuan, and an average household income of more than 70000 yuan. Qiwa Village has also become a well-known broiler breeding base.
The operation of the cooperative has also given birth to interesting logistics teams, such as "chicken capture team", "epidemic prevention team", "transport team", "chicken shit team" and so on. As the name implies, the "chicken capture team" is responsible for capturing, caging and loading the chickens; the "epidemic prevention team" is responsible for injecting and preventing epidemic disease and mending the mouths of the chickens; the "transport team" is responsible for exporting adult chickens and transporting them back to the chickens; and the "chicken shit team" is responsible for collecting chicken droppings and selling them to chemical fertilizer plants.
These logistics teams are all composed of disabled people or people with employment difficulties in Qiwa Village, who have an average fixed income of about 2000 yuan per month, greatly relieving the pressure of life. For example, Zhang Pingsong, a member of the "transport team", used to work abroad, so it was not convenient to farm, and he was unable to take care of his family, but now he has bought agricultural vehicles to help the co-operatives engage in transportation, making no less money than working, and can also take care of his family.
Starting a business is not afraid of "people on an embarrassing road".
When it comes to raising chickens, it's not easy. Zhu Chaofan did everything himself and suffered a lot. In summer, the outdoor temperature is 33 ℃, and the temperature in the henhouse is at least 37 ℃. He goes into the shed every hour to drive the chickens up and feed them with water to lower their body temperature. After doing these things, he was drenched, and over time, he was covered with prickly heat, and mosquito bites covered him with bags. In winter, he has to get up in the middle of the night to check the temperature in the henhouse in order to heat up in time, otherwise the chicks will freeze to death.
It's okay to be bitter and tired. What really tests people is the ubiquitous risk. The sale of grass chicken and grass eggs was immediately blocked by the outbreak of bird flu in 2013. At that time, Cunlan broilers could not be sold, so they began to get sick and lost hundreds of chickens every day. In the end, Zhu Chao took the sick chickens to Yangzhou University to find an expert to prescribe a special medicine to control the situation. At that time, he almost lost money.
There is also a delivery to Nanjing, staged a "people on the embarrassing road". At that time, Zhu Chao and his partner were busy loading until one or two o'clock in the morning the night before, and set out at 07:30 the next morning. On the way back, he smelled something mushy in the car. When he stopped, he found that the water tank was leaking. So he hurriedly drove off the highway, but as soon as he got out of the toll station, the car stalled. He pushed the car to the side of the road and waited for someone from the repair shop to come until late at night.
Looking back on his entrepreneurial experience over the past few years, Zhu Chao said with deep feeling that young people should aim high and never give up on their dreams even if they endure hardships and hardships, because the sun always comes after wind and rain.
Set foot on a new starting point of e-commerce
"I devote myself to starting a business with both external motivation and internal passion." Zhu Chao said that during the induction training, he received training in entrepreneurship and listened to the personal views of some senior university student village officials, so he came up with the idea of starting a business. In the process of leading the villagers to start a business, he received the concern and support of many superior departments and leaders, which turned into his motivation to start a business.
Devoting himself to starting a business also makes Zhu Chao reap the splendor of life. He was awarded the title of "Top Ten College Student Village officials in Xuyi County" for many years in a row; in 2013, he was awarded the title of "leader of rural youth getting rich in Huaian City" by the Communist Youth League Committee of the Communist Youth League; and last year, he was awarded the title of "leader of the 9th national rural youth getting rich" by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.
Zhu Chao benefited a lot from participating in the first Xuyi Young Creator Competition last year. Through communication with other contestants, he realized that only the combination of online and offline can further expand the market. Although now engaged in e-commerce has lagged behind, but we must seize this last opportunity. Later, with the concern and support of the organizational department of the Xuyi county party committee, he relied on the Xuyi county university student village official e-commerce service center and partnered with his business partners to set up Huaian Shanli Family Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd. specializing in online sales of Xuyi native products such as grass chicken, grass eggs, lobster and so on.
