At present, in the 1500 mu of Camellia oleifera base in Gaotun Modern Agricultural Park, Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, there are more than 100 independent chicken sheds in a superior environment, like a chicken "villa". There are a total of more than 5000 local native chickens here, forming a unique "chicken raising under the forest" model.

According to the person in charge of the Camellia oleifera base, since 2015, park staff have tried to "raise chickens under the forest". Compared with caged breeding, chickens can move around, saving feed costs and removing pests for woodland.
