"when sowing magnolia, you should first soak and scrub the fruit with a red skin in cold water, then remove the skin, take out the seeds to dry, bury them in the sand, and then sow the seeds." Tao Heng, a post-80s girl, is preparing to sow magnolia with her staff at the Songxin Flower and Tree Plantation in Banan District after 9: 00 on March 1.

In this wonderful time of spring sowing and spring planting, Tao Heng's busy figure can be seen everywhere in the planting base, because in every link of planting flowers, Tao Heng instructs his employees to stir the base fertilizer, wet plates, and so on. For Tao Heng, sowing well means that more high-quality seedlings can be cultivated, and only when the seedlings grow well can more commercial saplings be cultivated.

Tao Heng, born in Guantang Village Yakou Group, Jielong Town, Banan District, graduated from Chongqing United staff College in 1999. He worked as a substitute teacher, as a village family planning specialist, and as a salesman when he went out to work. It is such an ordinary post-80s rural girl who has honed his courage and responsibility after going through the hardships of studying, working and starting a business, and created an entrepreneurial road of unequal dependence and self-reliance.

In 2007, Tao Heng worked in a garden company, from running the production base to selling flowers and seedlings, which made her have a comprehensive understanding of planting flowers and trees, and realized that with the development of economy and society, citizens' expectations for beautiful environment and green homes are getting higher and higher, giving birth to a large number of seedlings demand, but in her hometown, now there are a lot of idle land, let it gradually sprout the idea of planting flowers and trees.

"at that time, I thought, why not use this idle land and plant flowers and seedlings?" Tao Heng said that she was still young and aggressive at that time. In 2009, she gave up her job in the city, discussed with her husband Zhang Zhongwei, cobbled together 50,000 yuan from relatives and friends to return home to start a business, and set up a Songxin Flower and Tree Plantation in Banan District. Began to plant flowers and seedlings.

"if you don't know how to grow flowers, you learn from forestry experts." Tao Heng said that at the beginning, she did not understand the technology, and the saplings she planted died one by one, which made her realize the importance of planting technology. Instead of being discouraged, she bought a lot of forestry books, learned the techniques of growing flowers and seedlings, discussed and experimented with the employed workers and local farmers, and invited agricultural experts in the town to feel the pulse. Tao Heng gradually became a "garden expert" who fully mastered the techniques of raising seedlings, pruning, and disease prevention.

In June 2011, Tao Heng and her husband applied for a micro-enterprise, and the government subsidized her 50,000 yuan at a high limit, solving the couple's financial problem. With this fund, the couple packed more than 80 mu of land, introduced high-quality sweet-scented osmanthus trees, Luanmu and camphor trees from other places, and developed the scale of the planting base to more than 200 mu.

"one person is not rich, but everyone is rich." As a former migrant worker, she knows very well that it is not easy for villagers to make money, so with the expansion of the planting scale of the base, when recruiting workers, she specializes in recruiting left-behind women and elderly people with a certain labor force. to help them ease the financial pressure.

Last year, Tao Heng expanded the scale of the planting base again, with an area of 500 mu. This time, she looked further ahead and began to build family farms, grow fruits such as plums, peaches and watermelons, raise freshwater fish and develop under-forest chicken farming. Today, the base has led more than 50 surrounding villagers to jointly develop the farming industry, and through the signing of breeding and acquisition agreements, a large-scale management community has been gradually formed in the local area, leading many villagers to get rich together.

As a result, Tao Heng sublimated the value of life and was successively awarded as "Banan Youth May 4th Red Flag bearer" and district-level "Outstanding League cadres". In 2015, Tao Heng also won the honorary title of "National Outstanding Peasant Workers".
