"Although these sweet oranges are small, they taste good. I won't let you come here for nothing." At 11:00 a.m. on March 4, Li Cuiying, the hostess of Haoyu Family Farm in Gaodong Village, Baiping Township, Wusheng County, was busy weighing tourists who came to buy sweet oranges. The reporter saw that the electronic scale was full of 3 bags of sweet oranges, weighing 50 jin.

"Last year, the orchard produced nearly 100,000 catties of sweet oranges, but it still can't meet the purchase demand of tourists. At present, the sales of sweet oranges have entered the final stage, and many tourists still come to buy them every day." After sending away tourists, Li Cuiying happily told reporters that last year, her farm "bumper harvest", only sweet oranges have more than 300,000 yuan income, but also out of more than 2000 fat pigs.

It is understood that in 2004, Li Cuiying and her husband returned home to start a business, develop ecological family farms, and led the villagers on the road to prosperity. She has also won the provincial "March 8th Red Flag","Women's Meritorious Model","National Model Worker" and other honorary titles.

To discipline her children, she gave up her high-paying job and returned home

In a single-row enclosure, a pig is naive. "At first, I didn't plan to start a business. I just wanted to do a small business and take care of my two children." Li Cuiying took reporters to visit the farm while telling reporters about her entrepreneurial story.

Li Cuiying was born in a rural family in Feilong Town, Wusheng. After graduating from high school in 1985, she worked as a substitute teacher in a local primary school without being admitted to university. After she got married, she resigned as a substitute teacher because of the arrival of her son and took good care of her son at home. "Our family depends on the harvest of a few acres of land. Life has been tight. It costs a lot of money for our children to study. My husband and I plan to go out to work."

In 1993, Li Cuiying and her husband entered a food factory in Guangzhou. Due to lack of technology, their monthly income was not much. "Later, I began to teach myself statistics, slowly I became the company's statistics director, a monthly salary of 3000 yuan." When Li Cuiying's work was getting better, her son began to become rebellious and often skipped classes to play games.

"We go out to work to earn money so that our children can have a future. They don't study seriously. No matter how much money we earn, it's all in vain." Li Cuiying originally intended to send her children to Guangzhou to study, but the children did not want to, after thinking about it, she and her husband decided to give up high-paying jobs and return home.

Because of this, Li Cuiying also step by step closer to his own entrepreneurial road.

Endeavour in frustration, the road to entrepreneurship is gradually widening

In 2000, after returning home, Li Cuiying took care of her children at home. Her husband worked in the county town and earned only more than 1000 yuan a month. "The family's expenses are too high. They can't make ends meet. Every month, they eat their old money." After discussing with her husband, Li Cuiying opened a daily chemical shop in Wusheng County with her savings.

After the store opened, business was quite good, Li Cuiying intended to continue to operate. However, in 2004, their village began to implement land circulation, Li Cuiying smelled business opportunities from it, sprouted the idea of returning home to contract land for economic fruit forest. When she told her husband the idea, the two hit it off and immediately returned home to contract more than 70 acres of land.

Leveling the land, weeding, planting trees... Li Cuiying and her husband buried themselves in the ground all day long. A few months later, 60 mu of sweet oranges and golden pears finally fell to the ground. "Originally, we only planned to develop fruit forest, but when we saw the high price of pigs at that time, we wanted to develop pig breeding by the way, and developing ecological breeding mode could not only increase income, but also save a lot of fertilizer cost." After calculating an account, Li Cuiying began to borrow money everywhere to build a pig farm.

However, the development of pig breeding is far from smooth as imagined. "More than 800,000 yuan was invested in the early stage to repair the house and buy the bottom pig, but it takes at least a year for the pig to be sold, and hundreds of pigs have to eat thousands of yuan 'rations' a day." Recalling the hardships at the beginning of his business, Li Cuiying is still vivid. Because he does not understand breeding technology, dozens of piglets died when the first batch of piglets came out. "At that time, the price of pigs also fell. Pigs bought at a high price could only be sold at a low price. It was a real loss."

It is in a series of setbacks continue to strive, now, Li Cuiying's family farm annual output of more than 2000 pigs, annual output value of more than 4 million yuan. However, in her opinion, this is not her biggest harvest back home,"last year, son successfully admitted to the doctor, this year, daughter will also participate in the college entrance examination." Li Cuiying was very pleased to see a pair of children have good prospects.

Developing Circular Economy and Benefiting Together with Villagers towards Well-off Society

"This is the secret to why our sweet oranges are in short supply." To sweet orange garden, Li Cuiying pointed to the ground stretch of black plastic pipe told reporters, With the gradual expansion of breeding scale, Waste disposal has also become a headache for Li Cuiying. "Although the dried dung can be collected for centralized treatment, there is no way to treat the sewage. After it is discharged, it stinks to the sky, and the villagers nearby complain repeatedly."

Therefore, Li Cuiying actively strives for project funds, and invests more than 2 million yuan to build 500 cubic meters of anaerobic tank, 500 cubic meters of gas storage tank, 1200 cubic meters of field biogas slurry storage tank and 2 tons of excrement treatment facilities per day on the farm. "Now, after fermentation treatment, manure becomes biogas slurry and is transported to the field through pipelines, which not only completely solves the pollution problem, but also saves a lot of costs for the surrounding fruit farmers."

Tang Xiuhua, a villager of Gaodong Village, is one of the beneficiaries. "Compared with chemical fertilizer, biogas slurry can not only improve water and nutrient utilization rate, but also increase fruit yield." Tang Xiuhua said that her family contracted 20 mu of fruit land, planted with sweet oranges, grapes, pears, etc., because of the use of Li Cuiying's family farm biogas slurry, can save more than 10,000 yuan a year. "Because organic fertilizer is applied, the fruit tastes good, and there are many repeat customers who buy fruit. Now the family sells fruit every year and can earn more than 100,000 yuan." Tang Xiuhua smiled.
