On the morning of March 22nd, the sun was shining. In the apiculture of Huang Guangxin (middle), he is seriously explaining the experience of beekeeping to the disabled from nearby villages.

Many years ago, because of an accident, his left hand was disabled; in the face of the ups and downs of fate, he was at a loss or helpless. However, he finally chose to challenge and struggle. Many years later, with his ingenuity and hard work, he not only became rich by beekeeping, but also set up Haikou Guangxin Entrepreneurship planting and breeding Cooperative to promote the development of beekeeping and other planting industries around the disabled. Let the disabled brew a sweet life with their industrious hands. He is Huang Guangxing, head of Haikou Guangxin Venture breeding Cooperative, Haikou Guangxin Village Committee, Jiuzhou Town, Qiongshan District, Haikou City.

Physically disabled and mentally handicapped

Huang Guangxing is 58 years old. In the winter of 1995, an accident disabled his left hand. That year, he was 39 years old, "old and young", and was the mainstay of the family. The accident made him "suddenly confused. At first, he was not only in a bad mood, but also didn't know where to go".

When he was confused, many stories about not being disabled made him renew his belief in life: "although my left hand is disabled, my other things are still sound, and I can still do many things."

What are you doing? After some consideration, Huang Xingguang plans to return to his old job of beekeeping. "Jiuzhou town has fertile land, moderate climate and good ecological environment, which is very suitable for beekeeping." He says he has been learning beekeeping skills in his spare time since the 1980s.

Now, in the face of the ups and downs of his fate, he begins to think about his body and how to embark on the road of "getting rich" through the development of this industry.

As soon as he did it, Huang Guangxing pulled out all his savings, bought several beehives and a batch of imported Italian bees, and officially began beekeeping. But after a long time, due to the lack of practical experience, the bees died and flew away. "I was very discouraged at that time, but I didn't want to give up, so I called the China Bee Research Institute to inquire about the problems in beekeeping. I believe that as long as I find out what went wrong, I can keep the bees well." Huang Guangxing said: it is this spirit that is not afraid of difficulties that supports Huang Guangxing's firm conviction to face up to difficulties.

Bring the rich and the disabled

In order to improve beekeeping skills, in those years, Huang Guangxing often consulted and studied from the China Honeybee Research Institute, studied beekeeping books himself, strengthened the exchange of experience with local beekeepers, and improved his own skills. Through continuous practice, study and exploration, Huang Guangxing not only mastered the core technology of bee breeding, but also found the excellent bee species that can maintain a strong colony and the technology of replacing the old queen bee in time, thus improving the efficiency of bee culture. After years of careful breeding, Huang Guangxing's farm has become a scale. At present, he raises more than 100 boxes of bees with an annual income of more than 100000 yuan.

A single flower does not make a spring. After Huang Guangxing tasted the benefits of beekeeping, he wanted the surrounding disabled people to taste the benefits of beekeeping. "I think beekeeping is very suitable for disabled people who can't do heavy work, so I want to drive other rural disabled people like me to get rich through beekeeping." Huang Guangxing said.

Therefore, over the years, whenever the bees are divided into groups, he will give the divided colonies to the disabled who are interested in beekeeping for free, and teach them the technology of beekeeping, and the disabled will come to the door to help solve the problems encountered in the process of beekeeping.

In 2010, Huang Guangxing also organized the establishment of Haikou Guangxin Entrepreneurship breeding Cooperative, and combined with the characteristics of Jiuzhou Town and his own planting and breeding technology, he provided technical services for its members, driving more than a dozen disabled people around them to engage in beekeeping, betel nut, longan, litchi and other breeding industries, and registered and established the "Luli" trademark, which uniformly sold the agricultural products produced by the cooperative and built a unified brand. Led by him, many disabled people around them have started a series of breeding and breeding businesses through beekeeping, longan planting, betel nut planting, pig raising, and so on. Every family's life is getting better and better year after year, and it is well received by the local people.

Strive to help more disabled people find jobs

On the morning of March 22nd, the sun was shining. In Huang Guangxin's beehive, he is seriously explaining the experience of beekeeping to disabled people from nearby villages. Today, Huang Guangxin is the "famous queen of bees" nearby. For those disabled people who come to ask for advice or bees, he not only warmly receives and teaches technology, but also gives them his own bees for free.

Huang Guangxin says that over the years, the success of his industry cannot be achieved without the help of many caring people, "so I also hope to do my best to help others, especially those disabled people who are more in need of care."

And to his delight, in order to help Haikou Guangxin Entrepreneurship breeding Cooperative better develop and radiation drive more disabled people to obtain employment, in February 2016, the Hainan Provincial Foundation for the disabled supported Haikou Guangxin Entrepreneurship breeding Cooperative with 100000 yuan of start-up capital.

"this money will be used to support members to expand the scale of production, and the next step is to open a honey processing plant, which will solve the employment of more than 30 disabled people when completed." Huang Guangxing said that he will make good use of this fund to make the cooperative bigger and stronger, and try his best to help more disabled people increase their income and better return to society.
