Return home to rent land "second time" to start a business

Chen Zhenna, 36, a villager from Wenshen Village, East Island, started his own business after graduating from college and founded a technology company in Zhuhai. In recent years, after the company is on the right track, Chen Zhenna chooses "second time" entrepreneurship and moves the investment target to rural areas.

In August 2013, after many times of communication with Jinjia East Village Economic Cooperative of East Island, he obtained the support of village cadres and villagers. He rented 44 mu of farmland in the village and looked for several partners."It is planned to introduce a batch of characteristic agricultural products." This was Chen Zhenna's original plan.

After returning home, Chen Zhenna entered the village to recruit troops and horses. Finally, he found three farmers with rich planting experience as technicians, adopted temporary employment mode, and signed labor contracts with more than 10 farmers. He noticed that okra was particularly popular with customers in hotels around the Pearl River Delta, while "okra fever" was just emerging in Zhanjiang. Chen Zhenna aimed at this business opportunity and planted 32 mu of okra. Under the introduction of friends, he introduced cherry from other places to cultivate and planted 8 mu.

In mid-October of the same year, this batch of agricultural products entered the harvest period for six consecutive years. The field price of Shengnvguo is 5 yuan/catty, and the field price of okra is 3 yuan/catty. He did not expect that the market response of the two crops is quite different. Shengnvguo was robbed by the surrounding masses, while okra was neglected in Zhanjiang and the sales volume was not high. "We had to ship okra to Zhuhai for sale, and the market responded well." Chen Zhenna said that from October to December of that year, Okra could harvest 500 jin a day, and the source of goods was continuously supplied to the Pearl River Delta.

Foreign characteristic agricultural products

After earning the first bucket of gold to start a business in his hometown, Chen Zhenna was full of confidence. He said that as long as the quality of agricultural products was good, he would not worry about no market. The following year, his characteristic agricultural concept attracted Kuang Haiqin, a Lao returned overseas Chinese.

In 2014, under the leadership of Kuang Haiqin, Chen Zhenna and several others visited agricultural bases in Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and other places, introduced seeds such as Moringa, Duoanshan Flower, Red and White Lotus, Golden Melon, King Bean, Lao Tomato, Papaya, etc., and put them into 44 mu agricultural base for planting through cultivation.

Chen Zhenna's team adopts a new cooperation mode in which the base provides land and seeds, farmers plant and manage them, and farmhouse entertainment companies acquire them in a unified way, attracting many farmers around to join. The base also provides regular technical support to farmers during crop management. "In the past, this piece of land was planted with papaya. The yield was low and the benefits were poor. This new planting model has increased the benefits of our village's agricultural economy and led farmers to become rich." Jin Jiadong Village cadre Jin Shengwen said.

Agricultural super docking does not worry about sales

Recently, the reporter came to Chen Zhenna's agricultural base, vast land, some areas set up bamboo racks, tomato seedlings wrapped around the bamboo rack upward growth; another area of young crops, dotted out of the land. Under the sunlight, it was a lively scene. According to the technician of the base, in order to make the crops more healthy and environmentally friendly, the base has developed a farm specially for breeding "spicy chicken"(chicken raised with mixed rice of spicy wood leaves). The chicken manure is fermented and used for fertilization. Considering the demand for fertilizer and crops, Chen Zhenna's team works with nearby pig farms to regularly collect biogas water to irrigate crops.

How to open Zhanjiang market for newly introduced agricultural products? Chen Zhenna said that when this batch of crops were harvested, he had pulled them to the farmers 'market for sale, but no one was interested. "There's nothing you can do. Even if you say the product is very good, you haven't heard of it before." Therefore, when this batch of agricultural products is about to be harvested, he takes the finished products of agricultural products and recommends them to a supermarket in Zhanjiang urban area, trying to create a road for agricultural super docking. Supermarket procurement personnel came to the base to understand the growth process of the whole crop, and finally reached a cooperation agreement with Chen Zhenna.

This year, Chen Zhenna's team has a new plan. They have leased an area of about 40 mu of farmland in Jinjiadong Village and adopted the intelligent system of "Internet +" for scientific management. These crops will be harvested continuously from June this year.
