"you still have to have a dream, what if it comes true!" Jack Ma's inspirational quote inspired countless entrepreneurs who worked hard for their dreams. Indeed, if you have dreams and actions, won't Jack Ma succeed? Chai Runhong, a post-80s college student in Xiangfen, gave up white-collar life in the city for his dream and returned to his hometown to become a farmer. A few days ago, the reporter saw Chai Runhong in the Longrun Manor of Zhaoqu Village, a new town in Xiangfen. At that time, she was taking care of the ripe strawberries in the greenhouse.

Chai Runhong graduated from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics majoring in Business Administration in 2009. After graduation, she went to work for five years, but she always had a dream of starting a business. In 2014, on an occasional opportunity, she met a dignitary, Hou Zhiguo, an eldest brother from her hometown, at the Beijing Agricultural Expo. Hou Zhiguo is 10 years older than her, but he also has a dream of starting a business. after talking, the two hit it off and decided to go back to their hometown to realize their dream of life.

"at that time, I saw the advanced eco-agricultural technology in Israel, Japan and other countries at the Agricultural Expo, and I firmly believe that we will certainly be able to reach this level in the future. At that time, I thought that if we could make use of modern agricultural technology to manage the fertile land in my hometown, it must not be underestimated. In addition, Xiangfen has a precedent for growing strawberries before, but it does not form a climate due to the limitations of scale, management technology, marketing and other conditions. If we can make use of our own advantages and integrate tourism, picking, farm music, fishing, and so on, the largest agro-ecological sightseeing picking garden in the city will be suitable for consumption by all kinds of people, and the prospect is very considerable! " Chai Runhong said.

When they returned to Xiangfen, they began to rent land and go through the formalities. Previously, Hou Zhiguo, who was doing business, had some savings. Chai Runhong also borrowed some money from relatives and friends. The two invested a total of more than 3 million yuan, leased more than 140 mu of land in Zhaoqu Village, a new town in Xiangfen, built a greenhouse, and cultivated strawberry seedlings. Cherry trees, apple trees, peach trees and other saplings were also purchased.

As it is the initial stage, according to the plan, they first planted more than 30 mu of fruit trees and built five modern daylight greenhouses, each of which cost 200000 yuan. High-quality strawberry varieties have also been introduced from Japan. If the quality is guaranteed, the highest yield per mu can reach 4000 jin.

In order to ensure the quality, they applied cow fertilizer in the greenhouse and used soybean meal as base fertilizer. The days spent slowly in their toil, looking at the gratifying growth of strawberry seedlings, they seemed to see the hope of a bumper harvest.

This "dream" has come true, and there is a lot of determination and action, but the way to start a business is not so easy. When they are waiting for a bumper harvest with joy, the problem comes.

"our strawberries have grown, and the leaves are very luxuriant, but the flowers are very rare." Chai Runhong said that they have checked a lot of information for this, and have also consulted agricultural experts at Zhejiang University. It turns out that strawberries should be grown to control the number of leaves. If all the fertilizer is applied on the leaves, the fruit will naturally be less. They just do what they say, mobilize the whole family, young and old, fight together, and "lighten" the burden on strawberries overnight! But this time, because they are all done by their own families, their skills are uneven, some hands are fast, some are slow, some are heavy, some have cut off the leaves to be left, and some have cut more leaves, not for long. After repeated study, they finally mastered the yardstick and gradually figured out a set of suitable methods.

In order to let strawberries grow in a natural ecological environment, they raised bees in the greenhouse and realized the pure natural ecology by using the laws such as the natural enemies of insect pests. At present, the first batch of strawberries cultivated by Chai Runhong and Hou Zhiguo are about to be on the market, and they are overjoyed.

At present, what worries them is the problem of sales. In order to find a good "mother-in-law" for these strawberries, the two worked together online and offline, taking advantage of young people's many ideas and brains to promote sales such as tasting before buying and picking experience. Chai Runhong said with a smile that now, these strawberry gardens are only the corner of their planned eco-tourism garden, and when they build up farm music, fishing garden, and picking garden step by step, they will be closer to their dreams.
