"at present, there are a total of 600 goats in my farm, and the price of goat mutton has been rising all the way this year. At the end of the year, it is no problem to earn more than 200,000 yuan from selling sheep." At noon on March 30, Cheng Nian, who tasted the sweetness of raising sheep, said to the author happily while cleaning the sheepfold.

Cheng Nianjun is a well-known party member who became rich in Chenglou Village, Guantang Township, Liangyuan District, Shangqiu City. When it comes to his entrepreneurial experience, we have to start from the beginning. In the autumn of 2007, by chance, Cheng Nianjun learned from television that the technical requirements of breeding Boer goats were low, the market demand was large and the income was good, so he decided to breed Boer goats. After on-the-spot investigation, Cheng Nianjun was more certain that this was a good way to get rich. When he told his family this idea, he was firmly opposed by his wife and son because the family opened a plastic processing plant with a net income of more than 200,000 yuan a year. However, Cheng Nianjun has a bad temper, and he will go on whatever road to wealth.

In the spring of 2008, Cheng Nianjun invested nearly 150000 yuan to build a new farm and bought 70 Boer goats. In order to improve aquaculture technology, on the one hand, Cheng Nianjun went to non-local breeding bases to inspect and learn other people's skills. On the one hand, consult goat breeding materials on the Internet and books, and ask others for advice through goat breeding QQ groups. In order for the goats to grow as soon as possible, he adopted the method of keeping the goats in captivity for half a day and grazing for half a day, that is, letting the sheep feed in the pen in the morning and driving them to the surrounding woods for grazing in the afternoon. In addition, he also crushed peanut seedlings, wheat straw and corn straw and scientifically proportioned them with bean curd dregs and corn stalks, and then fed them to the goats. His efforts are worth his efforts, and slowly, the breeding rate of his goats is increasing year by year, and the scale of breeding is also expanding. In 2011, he raised 200 goats, and in that year, the sale of lambs alone earned more than 40,000 yuan. This year, Cheng Nianjun built a new standard fence house of more than 150 square meters and introduced more than 40 small-tailed Han sheep.

Because of the scientific proportion and green breeding, the goats raised by him are fat and strong, the meat is tender and compact, and has no smell, so it is favored by customers. In winter, customers in Shenzhen, Shanghai and other places have come to snap up, and the supply of goats has been in short supply.

Today, the 62-year-old Cheng Nianjun has become half an expert in raising sheep, and the survival rate of his lambs is more than 98%. Talking about his future plans, Cheng Nianjun said confidently: "next, I will continue to expand the scale of raising, build another 120 standardized sheephouses, and strive to produce 200 Boer goats a year." In addition, it is necessary to set up cooperatives, register family farms, and implement the 'peasant household + company' model to lead the villagers to become rich together. "
