From the prosperity of first-tier cities to the poverty of grass-roots rural areas; from middle-level managers of international companies to strivers who return home to start their own businesses. Chu Yuefeng, a post-80s boy from Zhongguan Township, Yuexi County, paid great hardship and sweat for the "Walnut Dream" in his heart.

"fortunately, I have been sticking to my dream, and every step of my efforts has been seen by people." Chu Yuefeng said that he dared to trade his confidence of "one road to black" in exchange for a bright future for himself and his villagers.

Go south to work and make money smoothly.

Chu Yuefeng, born in 1981, lives in a small village called Doushui Village. When he was admitted to Yuexi normal School in 1999, due to poor family conditions, Chu Yuefeng had no choice but to drop out of school. In 2000, he went to work in a hotel in Beijing alone. However, the outside world was not as smooth as he imagined, so he chose to return to his hometown to return to school.

"in 2002, I went south to Shenzhen with the villagers. In the job market, my resume was chosen by the production department of IBM Group." On March 28, Chu Yuefeng said that recruiters were attracted by his "rich" experience. After many tests, Chu Yuefeng, with a sincere attitude, officially entered the production department and became a middle manager in the office.

Although the pace of work is fast and the pressure is great, the knowledge and skills learned benefit Chu Yuefeng for life. In 2004, the company was acquired and became a large enterprise group with diversified development in the information industry. At this time, Chu Yuefeng was already a business backbone of the company, and his career was booming, which was appreciated by the leaders and allowed him to get the first bucket of gold smoothly.

In the eyes of his family, relatives and friends, Chu Yuefeng has a good job and a good income, which makes people envy. But no matter how prosperous the city is and no matter how high the salary is, his heart is still like a drifting duckweed. In 2009, after much deliberation, Chu Yuefeng quit his job and went to Hangzhou to start an advertising company with relatives. At this point, his entrepreneurial road was officially paved.

Dream of going back to your hometown to start a business

"at that time, the market for advertising agencies was very tight." Chu Yuefeng said that he soon had a business connection with the universities around Hangzhou. Although he is in the advertising business, he always has an idea in his mind. "with such good landscape resources at home, we must find a good project to go back home and start a business, so that farmers can not only find jobs at home, but also become rich." Chu Yuefeng said.

An opportunity in 2013, Chu Yuefeng officially formed a bond with pecans. In an exchange with Huang Jianqin, dean of the College of Forestry and Biology at Zhejiang Agricultural University, he truthfully told him the idea of going back to his hometown to start a business. Huang Jianqin was moved by him and immediately suggested that he grow thin-shelled pecans. He also recommended him to visit Yinkeng Village in Lin'an, Zhejiang Province, which is the famous "first village of pecans."

With a blank mind, he came to Yinkeng Village, Zhejiang Province. Looking at the village house in Yinkeng, there are pecans in front and behind, and the patches of pecan trees surprised Chu Yuefeng. "in order to understand the real situation, I randomly asked a family to ask about the income of growing walnuts. The villagers there told me that each walnut tree could hang 50 kilograms of fruit and sell it for 3000 yuan, and the average annual income in the village was more than 300000 yuan. I was very excited at that time and made up my mind to plant pecans. " Chu Yuefeng said.

After 20 days of investigation, Chu Yuefeng returned to his hometown with a deposit of more than 2 million yuan and an ideal. He first selected a piece of flat land and began to prepare the land. After soil sampling analysis and market investigation, thin-shell pecans can be planted in the final experiment. "this variety has strong adaptability to the environment, high oil yield, good taste, and broad market prospects." Chu Yuefeng said, "the thin-shell pecans planted can hang fruit in 3 years and enter the high-yield period in 7 years." After entering the hanging period, the early cost can be recovered. After entering the high-yield period, the yield per plant is 20 to 50 kg, and the output value per mu will be more than 20,000 yuan. " Chu Yuefeng confidently calculated the benefit account.

At the end of 2014, Chu Yuefeng registered a local ecological agriculture and forestry enterprise, transferred 300 mu of barren mountains in Zhaoling formation of Doushui Village, and planted thin-shelled pecans. The townships and villages also strongly supported Chu Yuefeng's return to his hometown to start a business, and integrated agriculture-related funds such as "one matter, one discussion" of the village-level livelihood project, helping to improve the water, electricity, road and other infrastructure in the base. The strong support and hope from all walks of life gave Chu Yuefeng great motivation and confidence at the beginning of his start-up.

Expand the scale and lead the people to become rich

In the early days of his start-up, Chu Yuefeng knew very well that it would not work on his own. If he wanted to expand the industry, he must innovate the development model and drive the surrounding people to plant together. In order to encourage farmers to plant, Chu Yuefeng not only provides seedlings and technology free of charge, but also gives farmers a subsidy of 5 yuan for each kind of thin-shell pecan. "planting pecans can not only increase people's income and lift the poor out of poverty, but also increase the collective economy of the village. After entering the high yield period, the collective economy of the village can be increased by 300000 yuan. At the same time, the root system of Carya cathayensis is 8 meters long, and the ecological benefit is more precious than the economic benefit. " Chu Yuefeng persuaded the villagers.

In order to let the villagers see their determination to start a business, Chu Yuefeng promised to provide seedlings and technology free of charge in the first three years. Farmers only need to buy shares in their own mountain farms and land, and they do not need to invest a penny. On the contrary, they can earn labor subsidies, and the benefits of hanging fruits will be distributed in proportion. This has reassured farmers and increased the enthusiasm of every household to grow pecans. At present, Doushui Village has established a thin-shell pecan base of 1300 mu, of which the company's demonstration base is 300mu, planting 28000 pecans and developing 258 farmers around it, with an average household of 3 to 5 mu, achieving an annual income increase of 2000 yuan.

"at present, Doushui Village has taken the cultivation and development of thin-shell pecans as an important way to promote poverty alleviation and development and lead the masses to shake off poverty and become rich, forming a win-win development model of" company + base + farmers + village committees + technical colleges and universities ". 91 poor households in the village have participated in planting, and this industry will be able to achieve 30% of the task of getting rid of poverty this year. In the next step, the village will expand its cooperation with the company and plan to plant 5000 mu of thin-shelled pecans. " Chu Delin, secretary of the party branch of Doushui Village, told reporters.

Chu Yuefeng said that the next step is to register the pecan trademark, build a walnut processing plant, excavate farming culture, develop a pecan base picking sightseeing garden, and let tourists enjoy a rural tour of agricultural sightseeing picking. "Entrepreneurship ignited my passion, let me do a good job of business planning, so that I am full of drive and strength." Chu Yuefeng smiled honestly.
