A farmer in Gongcheng raised baby fish ecologically and raised a leading level in Guangxi.
The doll fish farmed by Chen Niangui is not small.
Baby fish is difficult to raise, artificial breeding is also difficult, for ordinary people is a difficult life. However, in Jiaoshanyuan Village, Guanyin Township, Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, the baby fish raised by villager Chen Niangui was evaluated by experts in Guilin as "raising the leading level in Guangxi". A few days ago, the reporter came to his farm to find out.
Chen Niangui's farm is located at the foot of the mountains behind the village. The mountain is covered with green trees and gurgling water, and a thick water pipe introduces mountain spring water into the farm. The breeding farm with more than 400 square meters has more than 20 pools, each with 4 to 5 square meters. Chen Niangui, in his 40s, bent down to gently remove the slate from the pool and saw a baby fish as thick as a human thigh lying motionless at the bottom of the water. "Baby fish are cave-dwelling animals. They usually sleep in a 'room' under the slate, and the largest one weighs more than 40 jin." Chen Niangui said.
Chen Niangui told reporters that the requirements of baby fish farming are higher, there should be constant running water all the year round, the elevation is not less than 1000 meters, and the water temperature should also be maintained at 22 ℃ to 24 ℃. Jiaoshanyuan Village has these conditions, so it is a very ideal place for baby fish farming.
In fact, Chen Niangui tried to raise a pair of baby fish at home around 2003, but he did not focus on raising baby fish when he was in the timber business at that time. Until 2008, a friend who opened a restaurant in Guilin came to his house and saw that the village was beautiful and the conditions were very suitable for raising baby fish, so he encouraged him to carry out small-scale ecological farming. "there must be a bright future."
Chen Niangui went to the market to do research for more than a year. From 2010 to 2011, he "borrowed some money" from relatives and friends, visited Hunan, Hubei and other places, spent more than 1 million yuan to buy more than 50 pairs of baby fish, and officially joined the cause of baby fish farming.
In 2012, Chen Niangui's baby fish spawned smoothly. But he was dumbfounded when he hatched: only a pitiful 100 or so were hatched.
Chen Niangui began to worry and even panic. It doesn't matter if you try to raise it in the past, but now you invest a lot of money, what if it doesn't get better all the time?
In the predicament, Chen Niangui thought of experts and technical guidance. To this end, he specially invited a professional company in Guangdong to guide the incubation, squatting in the farm every day to observe the living habits of the baby fish, and consulting experts every day, including how long the baby fish are in estrus, how long it takes to turn eggs artificially after spawning, how often the hatched baby fish feed each time, how often they are fed, and so on, he recorded all the details in the book and constantly summed up the experience.
"the breeding of this baby fish is the most important thing to match." Chen Niangui said that after observation and exploration, it was found that baby fish with similar temperament had the best pairing effect because of their similar eating habits. At the same time, because the doll fish has a strong aggressiveness, this pairing can also prevent the weak side from being attacked by the strong side. Grasp this key, in 2013, Chen Niangui's baby fish reproduction made a breakthrough, the hatching rate reached 60% that year, and even as high as 90% in 2015, far higher than the general ecological culture 50% of the 60% hatching rate; the survival rate of more than 85%, the total number of breeding also reached 13000.
"the hatching rate of fertilized eggs is more than 90% and there are tens of thousands of fertilized eggs, which is undoubtedly the leading level in ecological aquaculture in the region." Tang Chun, director of the promotion station of Guilin Aquatic Technology Center, who has been to Chen Niangui's farm twice, said. As far as he knows, among the baby fish ecological farms in the region, there are some with a number of thousands, but not many with tens of thousands. Tang Chun further introduced to the reporter that the hatching of baby fish involves various technical links and management, such as pairing, spawning, water temperature control, and so on. Once hatched, because the growth of the water environment is good, the baby fish has fewer diseases, and the survival rate is higher, so the hatching rate is an important indicator of the level of culture.
The reporter saw in the fish fry farm in Chen Niangui village that big pools with continuous currents were built in the dark breeding houses, and tadpole-like little black baby fish lay "asleep" in the red baskets in the pool and grew quietly.
The reporter learned that the baby fish, the scientific name giant salamander, is the largest and most precious amphibian in the world, and the wild baby fish belongs to the national second-class protected animals. According to the regulations, only the second generation can eat and buy and sell. Baby fish has high nutritional value and medicinal value, rich in high-quality protein and trace elements, known as "ginseng in water", so it has been very popular in the market.
"We usually have to raise about 3 kilograms of baby fish for three years before they are sold." Chen Niangui said that at present, the price of his baby fish is 140 million yuan per kilogram, which is mainly sold to Nanning and Guangdong, with an annual income of more than 200,000 yuan in recent years. Chen Niangui, who has been successful in farming, does not forget to lead the villagers to get rich together. Since last year, he has given free baby fish fry to six families who are willing to raise them, and provided technical guidance. After the nurtured baby fish are sold, the two sides will share them in proportion.
"this year, it is planned to distribute thousands of fish fry to more than a dozen villagers." Chen Niangui said with a smile: this can not only expand the scale, but also lead the villagers to become rich. Why not do it?
