The cooperative introduced a lot of tea processing equipment and realized mechanized production. The picture shows long Guosheng checking the processing of tea.

This old tea garden on the hillside is long Guosheng's treasure.

In order not to let the old tea farm that stopped production after the restructuring be abandoned, long Guosheng of Wutong Town in Lingui District stayed and became the "light pole commander" of the tea farm. Through his own efforts, he not only saved some old tea trees in the tea farm, but also developed new varieties, and led the surrounding villagers to plant tea together, gradually making the old tea farm coruscate new vitality.

From field director to "light pole commander"

Spring returns to the earth, everything recovers, and the warm air in spring is most suitable for the growth of tea. Recently, the reporter came to a tea picking farm in Wutong Town, Lingui District, and dozens of workers were busy picking tea. The tea-picking farm is green and the air is fresh. Long Guosheng, the person in charge of the tea farm, took the reporter around the tea farm and introduced various kinds of tea trees, such as old tree tea, Qingmao tea, big leaf tea, Anji white tea, and so on, to reporters from time to time. This middle-aged man in his 40s seems to be a tea expert.

It is understood that long Guosheng was the director of the state-run Wutong tea farm at that time. In the office, long Guosheng showed reporters a wooden plaque with the traditional words "state-run Wutong Tea Farm in Lingui County" written on a black and white background. The plaque is very old and looks old, but it is very clean and the handwriting on it is very clear. We can see that the owner has collected it very well.

According to the Records of Lingui County, Wutong Tea Farm used to be the main tea production base in Lingui, planting more than 300 mu of tea trees. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Qingming Festival Grain Rain tea produced by the tea farm was quite famous and was exported to major cities in China and regions such as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Long Guosheng said that due to the impact of the market economy and many other factors, the state-run Wutong tea farm was unable to sustain. In 2009, it was forced to implement restructuring and stop production, and the tea workers accepted the restructuring and diversion and left helplessly. Long Guosheng, who has just become the head of the tea field, is also faced with the choice of whether to stay or not.

Long Guosheng said that he had a special affection for tea and chose to major in tea when he was in college. After graduation, he learned that many of his teachers and brothers had stayed in the city, and many of them had made some achievements, some in the tea business as entrepreneurs, some as senior tea artists, and there was still no small temptation for him in the outside world. However, in the face of the tea market, he was unwilling. After a struggle with the thought of staying, long Guosheng finally chose to stay and became the "smooth pole director" of the tea farm.

Drive dozens of villagers to grow tea

In the tea farm, the reporter saw that a small tea garden of five or six mu was different, and other tea trees were newly planted later, and this tea tree was planted in the state-run Wutong tea farm that year and has been growing for decades. Long Guosheng said that these tea trees are all his treasures, and he wants to "serve" this old tea tree well. Long Guosheng said: "Wutong Tea Farm for us Lingui, should be a kind of cultural heritage, can not let it be lost, our scale can not be so large, but we must maintain them."

After the tea farm is reformed, wages will not be paid, so we must find our own way out. After nearly a year of planning, in 2010, "smooth pole field director" long Guosheng mobilized several surrounding tea farmers to form a tea cooperative. With the professional knowledge he has learned, long Guosheng has cultivated a batch of local high-quality wild tea, introduced Anji white tea, Fuyun 6 and other varieties, and successively developed and launched a series of old tree black tea, wild black tea and osmanthus tea, which are favored by the market.

Today, long Guosheng's tea cooperative has begun to take shape, with more than 200 mu of tea trees, with an annual output value of more than 500000 yuan, and more than 20 farmers around it. The tea farm has been supplying tea merchants in Zhejiang and other places for many years, and has also provided stable jobs for more than 50 local left-behind women.

Long Guosheng has his own direct selling tea shop in the urban area of Guilin, but he is very optimistic about the current online marketing, and plans to further expand the market through online sales next year, and at the same time expand the production scale of tea products to attract more tea farmers to join his team. let us plant tea trees, pick tea, and get rich together.
