"the Cherry Queen has opened our way to wealth."
Peach Blossom Festival, Sunflower Festival, Buckwheat Festival. In recent years, these refreshing flower festivals in the lower towns have gained enough popularity. And in another week or so, the cherry picking in Yangpeng Tou Village in each town will begin. These leisure and sightseeing projects not only increase the income of farmers, form the pattern of "Flower Sea of the four Seasons" in the towns, but also greatly promote the development of tourism in our county.
Behind this, she has a close relationship with a technical personnel. her name is Hong Li, deputy director and senior agronomist of the Institute of Horticulture of Taizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences. She is the first batch of science and technology ombudsmen selected by the Taizhou Municipal Government to be sent to the underdeveloped areas of the city. and won the "provincial excellent science and technology commissioner", "Taizhou meritorious science and technology commissioner" and other honorary titles.
Since she was stationed in various towns in our county in 2005, Hong Li has been taking root in rural areas, actively conducting scientific research and disseminating science and technology, helping to formulate and implement local plans for speeding up agricultural development, introducing new agricultural technologies, establishing scientific and technological demonstration bases, and setting up various professional cooperatives. actively carry out various forms of agricultural technology services and training services, using science and technology to help farmers open the door to become rich.
"she's our cherry queen."
"Miss Hong Li is our 'cherry queen'. Thanks to her guidance and help, otherwise the cherries and peaches in our village would not be so good." At the mention of Hong Li, Cheng Zhiyi, secretary of the party branch of Yangpeng Tou Village, said with emotion.
In 2005, as a science and technology commissioner in each town, Hong Li found that there were few cherry varieties, small cherry size, high fruit cracking rate, poor appearance quality, small production scale and low standardization of cultivation techniques when she first arrived at Yangpentou Village of "Fruit Village". To this end, Hong Li specifically carried out in-depth research on the local cherry industry.
During a field visit, Hong Li found that most of the cherries in Yangpeng Tou village were early and middle-ripe, and the picking ended before Labour Day short holiday. Therefore, the introduction of excellent varieties is the first step to improve the quality and prolong the harvest time of cherries. Then, on the one hand, combined with the reality of Yangpeng Tou Village, Hong Li introduced large fruit varieties and screened excellent varieties, on the other hand, she often guided the cultivation techniques of cherries for the villagers. Since 2006, Hong Li has introduced three excellent mid-and late-maturing varieties, such as "Gejiawu" and "Black Pearl", "May Day" and "Badan Zaohong", for Yangpeng Tou Village. It is understood that the cherry varieties in Yangpeng Tou Village have changed from two in the past to eight at present, four of which are of good quality and are widely welcomed by consumers and growers.
Every year, March is the season for cherry blossoms, and it is also the month most likely to fall cold in spring. If it rains again, it will not only affect pollination, but also reduce the rate of fruit setting. In the first few years of coming to Xianju, especially from March to May every year, she can often be seen busy in the fields, instructing villagers how to spray foliar fertilizer and how to build rain shelter facilities. Cheng Zhiyi said: "she is really very hard. She often instructs farmers in the fields and mountains on how to manage cherries. She is a very down-to-earth person."
"spraying, pruning, fertilizing. She is guiding us. If she doesn't have time to come over, she will call, and we trust her very much. " Village director Cheng Shoujin said so.
Because of this, every time Hong Li arrived at the entrance of the village, the fruit farmers saw it from a distance and shouted happily, "Miss Hong is here!" Her mobile phone has also become a "technology 110" hotline for villagers to inquire about cherry cultivation. Every time the villagers called her for scientific and technological knowledge, she always took the trouble to explain it and became a close friend of the villagers. Cheng Zhiyi said: "almost everyone in the village knows her, and we have a deep relationship with her."
After several years of efforts, in 2008, the cherry in Yangpeng Tou Village has begun to take shape, the whole village is almost full of cherry growers, and the varieties introduced in 2006 also bear fruit in 2009. Although the quality of cherries has improved, the income of farmers still can not be raised. "it's 20 yuan per jin today and 15 yuan per jin tomorrow, and then it will be 7 yuan or 8 yuan, but it will sell for 40 or 50 yuan a jin on roads and bridges." Cheng Zhiyi said helplessly.
If you want to open up the market of cherries and increase the added value of products, the establishment of cooperatives is the right way out. "at that time, there was only one cooperative in the village, so I discussed with the village secretary the establishment of Xianju Jiyi Cherry Professional Cooperative, the first cherry cooperative in Xianju, to help standardize the cooperative and assist the cooperative in registering trademarks, graded packaging, and so on. I also created my own brand: Gexian Cherry." Hong Li recalls.
In this sales model, not only the sales channels of cherries do not have to worry, but also the added value of cherries increases a lot. "now the lowest purchase price is 30 yuan per jin, and the income of farmers has increased several times." As the president of the co-operative, Cheng Zhiyi said so. It is understood that in addition to meeting local demand, the fruits of the cooperative are also exported to Hangzhou, Shanghai, Wenzhou and other places, effectively increasing the income of local fruit farmers.
Through several years of unremitting efforts and solid work, the cherry industry in Yangpeng Tou Village has developed rapidly, not only established more than 300 mu of cherry rain shelter facilities, established a cherry science and technology demonstration base and passed the green base testing and green fruit certification. What makes the villagers more happy is that the income has increased from 6000 yuan / mu to 20000 yuan / mu, which has significantly improved economic and social benefits, leading to the rapid development of surrounding villages and towns. This year, the planting area of cherries in Yangpentou Village has reached 550mu, with an estimated output of 550000 jin and an output value of 11 million yuan.
"she opened our way to wealth."
In 2009, in the course of field investigation, Hong Li found that Sheshan Village had favorable conditions for developing Auricularia auricula: on the one hand, in the winter leisure period, the free area of rice fields in Sheshan Village is larger, and farmers also have enough time to manage Auricularia auricula. On the other hand, as a village in the mid-mountain area, there are not only plenty of wood, but also many handicraft processing factories around it, which are rich in mulberry branches, fruit branches, handicraft scraps, miscellaneous wood, straw and other resources.
"this can not only make full use of resources, but also increase farmers' income. Why not?" To this end, Hong Li took the initiative to discuss with the town to help Sheshan Village establish a 50-mu Auricularia auricula-high-efficiency ecological agriculture demonstration base for single-cropping rice. At the same time, she forgot to eat and sleep to carry out technical research, formulated the implementation plan of "Auricularia auricula-single cropping rice", introduced "916", "918", "Xinke" and other strains, and carried out experiments on the introduction and comparison of new varieties and the fertilizer effect of black fungus bag material on rice, and finally determined the planting project.
Under her guidance, Sheshan Village has built a production base of Auricularia auricula and has put into production, and the sales volume is very good, with a sales income of 770000 yuan, a price of 60 yuan per kilogram of dried fungus, and an average net income of more than 14000 yuan per mu. This new farming mode not only makes use of idle land, increases land output, but also increases rice yield, stabilizes grain production, realizes the goal of "ten thousand yuan field", and brings multiple economic, social and ecological benefits to the local area.
Zhu Shengli, secretary of the party branch of Sheshan Village, said: "before our village, there was only red bayberry, but Mr. Hong opened our way to becoming rich, and now our village has begun to grow blueberries." As long as Miss Hong Li comes to Xiage, she will come to guide and be very responsible. "
In addition to guiding the development of the cherry industry, in 2007, driven by Hong Li, Yangpengtou Village and Yangchutou Village began to develop peaches, introducing excellent peach varieties such as "red honeydew", adapting measures to local conditions, and encouraging farmers to plant peaches according to their own conditions. at present, there are nearly a thousand mu of planting area.
