Walking into the Silong Mushroom production Base in Xingling Village, Shuangdun Town, several factories came into view and stepped into the mushroom production plant. Pleurotus eryngii, as thick as chicken legs, was neatly arranged on the shelf of the mushroom room, quite spectacular. Wang Shen, head of the base, said: "when I went to Fujian to inspect the Pleurotus eryngii production project, I felt that it would be better if this project were developed in Hefei, because there were not many cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii in Hefei, so I immediately went back to my hometown to invest."

As a native of Shuangdun Town, Changfeng County, Wang Shen started a successful business in his early years and found the "first bucket of gold" in his life. With the dream of starting a business for the second time, in 2012, he returned to his hometown and invested more than 46 million yuan with friends to establish an industrial production base with an annual output of 6000 tons of Pleurotus eryngii.

"do you know the origin of the name Pleurotus eryngii? It is called Pleurotus eryngii because it tastes like almonds and abalone. " Wang Shen said that the production of Pleurotus eryngii is to turn waste into treasure, and its cultivation raw materials are agricultural production wastes such as bagasse, sawdust and corncob. According to Wang Shen, the production process of Pleurotus eryngii is complex, but it has the advantages of quick effect, high yield, high efficiency, packaging, sterilization, cooling, inoculation, cultivation, and mushroom production.... After about 55 days, Pleurotus eryngii came out of the bag. At present, the base can produce 16 tons of Pleurotus eryngii every day. If the output is large, what about the sales? Wang Shen said: "our Pleurotus eryngii mushrooms are mainly sold to the Hefei Zhougudui Wholesale Market, and then shipped to all parts of the country by the Zhougudui Wholesale Market."

While starting a business, Wang Shen did not forget to drive his neighbors to get rich together. It is understood that the Silongju edible mushroom production base adopts the production mode of "company + peasant household", which has led more than 100 farmers around to work here to earn money. Peng Yuxia, a villager from Beitou Village, Xingling Village, Shuangdun Town, has been working on the base for two years. She said happily, "it's much better to work in the base for more than 2000 yuan a month, and to be able to take care of the family without missing out on farm work."

Wang Shen said that this year, on the basis of perennial cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii, the base will make use of discarded bags for the production of Pleurotus eryngii to develop other edible fungi such as bisporus mushrooms, so as to drive more farmers to become rich and well-off.
