In the Tian Tou, in front of the house and behind the house in Dalou Village, Yangming Town, Heping County, you can see large and small shelves built with bamboo poles everywhere, row by row, seat after seat, very spectacular. More importantly, there are "treasures" hidden in the shelves-passion fruit seedlings, which is an important industrial project in Dalou Village, carrying the hope that farmers can shake off poverty and become healthy.

The development and growth of passion fruit industry in Dalou Village has a lot to do with a "stranger". This stranger is Yu Hui, a helping cadre from Shenzhen. "he is a diligent and down-to-earth helping cadre, and thanks to him, the village has changed so much in three years." Speaking of Yu Hui, Wu Jiaqiang, a cadre in Dalou Village, was full of praise.

The annual output value of passion fruit is nearly 3 million yuan in 500mu.

"now that the supply of passion fruit in the village falls short of demand, I have chosen another piece of land this year to grow all passion fruit and expand the scale." At the entrance of Dalou Village, Peng Dongshi, a busy villager, talked about his plans for the future.

In 2013, Yu Hui, who worked in Shatou Street Law Enforcement team in Futian District, Shenzhen City, applied to Dalou Village. As a soldier, he quickly adapted to the local environment and quickly entered the role to find a way out of poverty in Dalou Village. After the study of the supporting units and the village committee of the building, the passion fruit with small difficulty in management and short income cycle is regarded as the main supporting industry in Dalou village. With the support of the support units, 26000 passion fruit seedlings have been provided to the villagers in the past three years, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of passion fruit industry in Dalou Village.

Yu Hui not only studied the planting technology of passion fruit by himself, but also regularly exchanged experiences with farmers in Dalou Village, and sometimes invited some agricultural experts to teach in Dalou Village to teach the villagers the basic knowledge of planting: how to cultivate fruit seedlings, when to fertilize and disinfect, when to blossom and hang fruit, and so on. Wu Jiaqiang said that the passion fruit seedlings planted in the village this year are all cultivated by the villagers themselves and are self-sufficient, saving a lot of costs.

Today, Dalou Village has more than 160 households planting passion fruit, with a planting area of about 500,000 mu, an annual output of more than 500,000 jin and an annual output value of nearly 3 million yuan.

Building a diversified new socialist countryside

Passion fruit has become the leader of driving the villagers of Dalou Village to get rich, but how to promote its development from a single industry to diversification and constantly strengthen the village collective economy has become an urgent problem to be solved.

To this end, through measures such as building a square of 3000 square meters, greening and renovating a primary school campus of 2000 square meters, and building river embankments and cultural promenades, the help units have made great efforts to create the cultural, sports, education, and industrial development center of the building village. Yu Hui said that it is hoped that the region will become a new socialist countryside covering passion fruit production and marketing, tourist reception, cultural and sports activities, village services and cultural publicity in the future.

The support units also take the development of passion fruit industry as a starting point and implement incentive policies. In passion fruit planting and development areas, they have built 3 km of hard-bottomed village roads, 1 km of "three-sided light" canals, Beitou and other water conservancy facilities, effectively ensuring the industrial development of passion fruit. In addition, under the active contact of Yu Hui, the help units have also laid more than 4 kilometers of hardened village roads for Dalou Village, built 75 street lights, and constantly improved the village infrastructure.

Let the left-behind children enjoy the warmth of "home"

By chance, Yu Hui met Liang Weixing, the person in charge of the Sunshine Public Service Center in Heping County. After communication, the two sides decided to carry out a project to care for the left-behind children in Dalou Village, through social workers and volunteers, by means of colorful classes, birthday meetings, sports performances, visits, and so on, to care for and train more than 100 left-behind children to make their childhood healthier and happier. At the same time, they have also explored and launched a five-in-one joint working mechanism for the protection of left-behind children among social work institutions, parents, schools, village committees and investors.

Three years later, help units and social institutions have not only invested more than 11.66 million yuan in poverty alleviation funds for Dalou Village, but also helped poor families find a way to shake off poverty and become rich. According to statistics, through assistance, the annual per capita net income of poor households in Dalou Village has reached more than 10,000 yuan, the annual per capita income of villagers has reached more than 12000 yuan, and the village collective income has reached 118000 yuan.
