At the beginning of this year, the rematch of the first Youth E-commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Meishan City, sponsored by the Youth League Municipal Committee of Meishan City, Sichuan Province, ended successfully. Wu Yongzhi, a young party member from Zhongyan Village, Ruifeng Town, Qingshen County, advanced to the top 10 of the project of "Let the Local Rooster fly". Wu Yongzhi, he is a foolish post-80s young man. Everyone calls him Xiao Wu. He has been a soldier and a cook. Time seems to run fast, but he always feels that his youth is missing something. He was not content with his wandering days and always wanted to go back to the mountain where he was born and make a career. After several thoughts and twists and turns, he embarked on the arduous road of starting a business, from dozens of chickens at first to tens of thousands now, selling native chickens and native eggs through Wechat and Taobao. Meishan Xiao Wu native chicken has become a beautiful business card of Qingshen e-commerce. As a result, Wu Yongzhi has become a well-known e-commerce talent in the county, and has been awarded as the first "Top Ten Entrepreneurship Star" in Qingshen County and "good Rural Youth" in Meishan City.

Raising native chicken "hatches" entrepreneurial dream

As a migrant worker, he wanted to go home and start a business, so he asked himself psychologically, "what can I do when I go back to Dashan?" Think about it day and night, just go home and start a business and raise chickens! Raising chickens is not on a whim for him. in the process of working as a cook in other places, he found that native chickens are difficult to buy, and the demand is strong, which is a great business opportunity. Xiao Wu's hometown has pleasant scenery, sparsely populated, no pollution, and an open site. The unique natural environment is the best guarantee for raising chickens that let consumers rest assured. There is no place more suitable for farming black-bone chickens than that beautiful mountain. In 2012, Wu Yongzhi bravely told his family his idea after careful consideration, but he was immediately opposed by the whole family. His parents always said that the conditions at home were not good, and that once he lost money, it would be an irreparable loss for the whole family. In spite of the opposition of his family, he started from scratch with only 5000 yuan and embarked on the arduous road of starting a business.

Everything is difficult at the beginning. It is easy to raise chickens, but difficult to do. At the beginning of raising chickens, they worried about chicken seedlings, and it was very difficult to buy purebred black-bone chickens in the market, so they braved wind and rain and braved the hot sun to ride broken motorcycles to farmers' homes around the country to find suitable chickens. Free-range farmers raise a small amount, farmers are not willing to sell, so buy at a high price. Going out to work has already honed Xiao Wu's strong faith and perseverance. Day after day, he stepped on the dirt road with one foot deep and shallow, and his shoes, trouser legs, and even clothes were covered with mud. By chance, Xiao Wu bought an incubator and hatched more than 1000 native chicken seedlings, which solved the problem that it was difficult to buy chicken breeds.

There are chicken breeds, but other problems come one after another. Due to inexperience, in 2013, more than half of the chickens on the farm died, which dealt a heavy blow to Xiao Wu. Just at this time, Xiao Wu's father unfortunately fell from the tree and was seriously injured. His mother had been working in Chengdu and couldn't get away. His younger brother was still in college, and his father could only be taken care of by him, which made Xiao Wu even worse. There is no turning back, and no matter how difficult it is, Xiao Wu, who has been a soldier, can't be defeated. Xiao Wu was busy. He repaired the chicken coop at home during the day and went to the city hospital at night to take care of his father. He was so exhausted that he could fall asleep standing up every day, but he still insisted on not giving up and faced it optimistically. He finally got through the most difficult time.

Sales encounter obstacles Wechat "pry open" the market

In May 2012, Xiao Wu's native chicken began to lay eggs, entering the laying peak, picking up more than 100 eggs every day. Looking at the high quality native eggs, Xiao Wu was both happy and anxious. The good news is that the output of native eggs has gone up, but the worry is that the market has not been opened. Xiao Wu carried the eggs to various restaurants and hotels to sell, but the effect was still not good. Xiao Wu had to reflect on whether the real native eggs could not be sold. "it's impossible," Xiao Wu said to himself. "I believe that as long as the quality is good, the market will open.

A man raised native chickens in the mountains. Young Xiao Wu felt a little lonely. When he had nothing to do, he took some pictures of raising native chickens on his mobile phone and posted them online via Weibo. Xiao Wu made a lot of friends through Weibo. To his surprise, this little hobby will help him open the market.

In August 2012, a woman surnamed Yuan left a message to Xiao Wu on Weibo, bringing Xiao Wu her first business. Through Ms. Yuan, Xiao Wu has more than 20 stable customers on Weibo. Customers place orders online, and then Wu Yongzhi uses logistics express delivery to customers.

"Internet +" turns black chicken into "golden rooster"

Through online sales channels such as Taobao, Wechat and QQ, Xiao Wu sells native chickens raised in Zhongyan Village to Chengdu, Shanghai and other places. The local chicken market is very tight and often exceeds demand.

In 2015, the Qingshen County Party Committee and the county government encouraged the construction of specialized and large-scale breeding farms in rural areas, vigorously developed the aquaculture industry, and helped farmers shake off poverty and become rich through industry. Wu Yongzhi worked door to door, personally invested a large amount of money, kept more than 8000 chickens, and led more than 200 poor households in the surrounding three villages to raise more than 10000 chickens. Wu Yongzhi strengthens the standardized management of production links, pays attention to technical training for poor households and strict screening of products, actively explores the formation of product traceability mechanism, ensures product quality, maintains brand image, and constantly improves business efficiency.

Now, Wu Yongzhi is very busy every day, busy watching the purchase of goods, busy giving technical guidance to poor families, busy contacting customers, tired and happy. Wu Yongzhi traded his youth and passion for his entrepreneurial dream and led the poor families in his hometown to shake off poverty and become rich, and finally had a chance to realize it.
