Huangheying Village in Maoying Town, Ziyun Autonomous County is connected to Dongkou Village in Bandang Town, with many mountains and many soil, and there are also many barren slopes. In recent years, urged by policies such as industrial restructuring and improving land utilization, the barren slopes in this area have not only reclaimed 10,000 mu of blueberry orchards. Wengnong Group of Huangheying Village has also created 10,000 mu of oil tea garden through land transfer.

Standing at the highest point of Wengnong Mountain, Camellia oleifera forest is full of green, as if let the barren slope put on a beautiful "green clothes". Looking down and looking closely, a few Camellia oleifera seedlings have been covered with fruitful fruits, and most of the buds on Camellia oleifera trees have been "budding".

The owner of this Camellia oleifera forest is Chen Feishu, a native of Ziyun Songshan Town. After graduating from Guiyang Medical College, he chose to join the army. After returning home from the army in 2013, he had the idea of using barren slopes to develop industry. At the suggestion of his friend, he thought that growing Camellia oleifera was a good way. As a result, Chen Feishu came to inspect the barren mountains of the Wengnong formation in Maoying Town and found that the barren mountains in this area are between 1000 and 1200 meters above sea level, and the soil acidity and climate are adapted to the growth of Camellia oleifera.

"the oil made from Camellia oleifera is a pure natural food. Camellia oleifera oil has medical effects and can be used as elements such as health care and beauty." Chen Feishu said that with people's higher and higher living standards, there is an increasing demand for green food and health care products. The development of Camellia oleifera industry can produce benefits in 4 to 5 years. Although the investment is large, the recovery of funds is not very late.

From 2013 to 2014, Chen Feishu invested nearly 5 million yuan through land transfer and planted 994 mu of Camellia oleifera garden in Wengnong Group. "in order to facilitate management, I built two houses on the mountain and usually took care of the oil-tea garden on the mountain." Looking at the planting of Camellia oleifera seedlings in January, the original barren slope was dressed in green, Chen Feishu's heart was full of joy.

Chen Feishu calculated an account for the reporter. The land transfer fee of the barren slope is only a few dozen yuan per mu per mu, but there can be as many as 100 Camellia oleifera trees per mu. Camellia oleifera trees in the high-yield period can produce more than 1 kg of Camellia oleifera oil per year and more than 100 kg per mu. Now the production price of Camellia oleifera oil per jin is not less than 100 yuan, and the price of good quality is more than 200 yuan per catty. The cost can be recovered three years after the Camellia oleifera garden is put into production. In the future, in addition to labor, fertilizer and other costs is profit.

Camellia oleifera cultivation is a labor-intensive industry, including fertilization, weeding, picking, processing and so on. "for the picking work that has not yet reached the harvest time in the 994 mu of Camellia oleifera garden, there are more than 2000 man-hours a year, and the cost for each man-hour is about 70 yuan, which not only solves the nearby employment problem for the nearby villagers, but also increases the income of the local villagers." Chen Feishu said that almost all of his workers are Wengnong villagers, and he has to pay 150000 yuan in labor costs every year.

Under the leadership of Chen Feishu, the number of households planting Camellia oleifera in Huangheying Village has increased to more than 10, and the planting area has now grown to nearly 5000 mu. Next, the town of Maoying will vigorously develop the Camellia oleifera industry and plan to build 10,000 mu of Camellia oleifera garden within three years.
