"Egg Duck King" Zhang Yongyi leads the villagers on the road to prosperity.

A native farmer pursues his entrepreneurial dream in his hometown. Starting from his own local chicken incubator of more than ten square meters, it has grown to raise more than 1 million egg ducks with an annual output value of 180 million yuan. The company + peasant household model of egg duck breeding, egg purchase and marketing, egg deep processing, feed processing and sales as one of the leading enterprises of provincial agricultural industrialization. He is Zhang Yongyi, a young farmer in Ketan Town, Lujiang County and a national model worker in 2015.

In 1999, Chang Yung-Yi, who graduated from high school and returned to his hometown, helped his father take care of the local chicken hatchery. He overheard people say that egg duck farming in neighboring counties was very popular. Thinking that the countryside was encouraging the adjustment of agricultural structure, he carefully pondered that the backward aquaculture industry in his hometown was a world of great achievements. Zhang Yongyi cobbled together 30,000 yuan to build the first local duck shed on the vacant land at home, introduced improved egg duck seedlings, and made a profit of more than 10,000 yuan that year. After the first taste of the sweetness, Zhang Yongyi increased his confidence and built two new duck sheds the next year, thus embarking on a road to industrialization to get rich.

Seeing that the villagers are still groping on the road to getting rich, in 2000, Zhang Yongyi led five farmers in this villager group to raise egg ducks. in 2002, he took the lead in setting up a county-wide egg duck breeding association, imparting new technology and new experience to more than 220 members without reservation. Every year, the production cost for people with start-up capital difficulties amounts to more than 2 million yuan.

A demonstration breeding area capable of raising 100000 egg ducks was set up in 2007. Zhang Yongyi set up a professional cooperative of egg ducks to establish a stable production, supply and marketing chain mechanism with more than 300 local farmers by means of order production or profit return. He also raised money to introduce domestic advanced equipment and set up an egg deep processing enterprise with an annual output of vacuum packaging Salted Duck Egg 800t, pine preserved egg 600t, and salted egg yolk 50t.

On the morning of April 22, 2016, Liu Mingcheng, a farmer in Xiaodun village, delivered more than 8000 duck eggs and took away 8 tons of feed. "Egg duck co-operatives provide feed, and farmers are responsible for raising ducks and delivering duck eggs." Liu Mingcheng said happily, "I have raised 10, 000 ducks with an annual income of 200000 yuan."

Over the past decade, Zhang Yongyi has been consistent, volunteering to provide duck farmers with "unified ingredients, unified introduction, unified recovery, unified immunity" services, invited university professors and experts as consultants, and held a total of 26 lectures on epidemic prevention techniques in egg duck breeding. More than 2000 farmers have benefited, driving farmers to embark on a broad road of breeding and getting rich.
