Nanyang, Henan: take root on the land and grow good vegetables

Zhang Jun, a 56-year-old farmer, is working in the field of Jinfengyuan vegetable cultivation Co-operative in Fangying Village, Wangcun Township, Wolong District, Nanyang City.

"I have contracted land for vegetable cultivation in Fangying Village since 2012. At present, I have invested nearly 10 million yuan and built more than 200 greenhouses, totaling more than 200 mu. I mainly grow more than 20 kinds of balsam pear, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers in spring and autumn a year."

Zhang Jun is Zhang Qi's fifth uncle, an authentic Henan farmer. After knowing that my nephew wanted to do a big planting industry, he took root in this field without saying a word, engaged in management, managed planting, and worked in the fields when he was busy.

"only farm manure is applied, no pesticides are applied, insect-proof nets are installed in the greenhouse, and weeds are removed manually." When Zhang Jun talked about farming, he was full of pride.
