"you must pay attention to the fact that you must turn your back to the walnut seedlings and hit the herbicide." In the early morning of April 27, Li Hongmei, who had just returned from * *, couldn't wait to go to Huangmingqiao Village, Sanxi Town, Wusheng County, to urge workers to seize the fine weather and do a good job in the management of cash crops in spring.

Li Hongmei is a native of Huang Mingqiao Village. In 2004, she gave up her "iron rice bowl" to set up a professional cooperative with her husband. Over the years, she has cultivated high-quality walnuts, ice-sweetened apples and dates sold all over the country. At the end of 2013, she returned to her hometown to contract nearly 7000 mu of land to grow walnuts and cherries, driving the people of her hometown to become rich together.

2014 Chinese brand "Sunflower" personal Innovation Award, 2015 "Sichuan Top Ten Home Entrepreneurship Stars", the Seventh Labor Model in Sichuan Province …... In recent years, Li Hongmei has won many awards and received an MBA MBA from Tsinghua University in 2012.

Return to hometown to start a business vows to turn barren mountains into oases

"the 100 mu walnut I successfully improved and cultivated in 2014 has been fruited for two years and is expected to enter a high yield period in five years." Li Hongmei told reporters that the walnuts she grows are of good quality, with each jin of walnuts 3 to 5 yuan higher than the market price, and more than 1000 jin of walnuts will be listed on the market in August this year.

Recalling the way back to her hometown to start a business, Li Hongmei said that at the end of 2013, when she returned to her hometown where she had been away for many years, she was heartbroken to see paspalum grass covered with rice fields and wild Artemisia cover the slate road. She was moved to learn that the Wusheng County government encouraged the development of large-scale planting industry and sincerely invited villagers to return to their hometown to start a business.

Li Hongmei immediately invited agricultural experts and professors to her hometown and repeatedly demonstrated the geographical and climatic conditions of her hometown. She was overjoyed at the result: this is a suitable place to grow 185 walnuts.

"185 walnut is one of the best walnuts at present, with large size, thin shell and high nutritional value." Li Hongmei said, "Wusheng rainy climate is easy to cause walnut seedling breeding bacteria, but weakly acidic soil is more conducive to walnut growth."

Just do it. In early 2014, Li Hongmei established the Wusheng Linxiang Fruit Professional Cooperative and first contracted 100 mu of land in Feilong Town to establish the mother garden of walnut seedling base. More than a month later, after improvement and cultivation, the cooperative's first "Xiwu No. 1" walnut female parent took root in the seedling base. Then she contracted nearly 7000 mu of land in Guhua Village, Shiting Village and Huangmingqiao Village, Sanxi Town, and planted hundreds of thousands of walnut seedlings, all of which are expected to hang fruit in 2018 and registered the "Xihubei" trademark.

Strengthen the industry and drive the neighbors to get rich together

"after Boss Li came, our barren slope was covered with 'green clothes'." Li Yufang, a villager who works in the walnut base, said happily, "now that our abandoned land has been transferred, we can not only get land transfer fees, but also work in the base, with an additional income of more than 8000 yuan a year."

"I am duty-bound to lead a good life for my neighbors." Li Hongmei said that since the establishment of the cooperative, more than 300 members have been developed, which has not only solved the employment of more than 500 local villagers, but also attracted more than 40 young and middle-aged migrant workers to return home and become the backbone of the business. "it will be invested by us in the early stage, and after the walnuts are hung up, the local farmers will contract and manage themselves. we will provide unified technical training and guidance, and farmers can sell their own products, or they can be recycled by us according to the market price. this model can bring considerable income to the villagers."

In the interview, Li Hongmei has been busy, instructing workers to mow the grass, and then tip and pull branches for the cherries planted last winter. "now, I have planted more than 10 fresh fruit varieties, such as cherries and covered fruits, and do experiments. I expect to hang the fruit next year."

"We cannot rely on heaven for food in agriculture, and this year I will invest more than 10 million yuan to improve irrigation conditions. At the same time, expand the planting scale of walnuts, introduce potted fruits, and use 'Internet +' thinking to build Linxiang fruit industry into an intelligent agriculture integrating tourism, leisure and entertainment, and information technology. " Li Hongmei said softly, but her eyes were extremely firm. "Agricultural investment is large and the cycle is long, but I have enough confidence and patience."
