Open a simple door under the dirt slope, and without taking a few steps inside, suddenly a large flock of red orchard chickens gathered together, "giggling" and waiting to be fed. Nong Jiahua has to face such a scene several times a day.

"as long as there is sweetness in the day, you will be happy when you are tired." He said.

Nong Jiahua was originally an ordinary farmer in Bajiao Village, Bajiao Township, Longzhou County, Guangxi, but in recent years, he has not only made money by raising orchard chickens and growing ecological melons, fruits and vegetables, but also wants to get rich with the villagers, suddenly becoming the "star" of the village.

Nazutun is geographically remote and its production and living conditions are difficult. Most of the 50 families in the village, including Nongjiahua, go out to work all the year round to make money in the world. When he was about to go out several times, the advice and reluctance of his elders' wives and children filled Nong Jiahua with pain. He thought, how can he do something on his doorstep?

"the village is short of labor and a large area of land has been abandoned. I think we can do something about it." Nong Jiahua once worked for vegetable merchants and often haunted farmers' markets. he learned that city people like to eat native chickens, and raising orchard chickens might be a good way out.

Just do it. In the second half of 2014, Nong Jiahua returned to his hometown to "fly alone".

He took out his savings for many years and rented hundreds of mu of fields and forests of the villagers. "I said I'm going to raise chickens, so let's follow me and have a good life together." Nong Jiahua said that at the beginning, many people were not optimistic about his idea, and even his wife opposed it.

"what kind of business do they think I am a farmer? raising chickens is still so risky that if I lose the whole family, I will have to drink from the northwest. But I have the determination and confidence to do it. If I don't do it, I can only work outside the home all the time. " Nong Jiahua "bent on going his own way" built a big chicken shed and bought tens of thousands of young chickens.

But soon he ran into a dilemma-the demand for chicken feed was far over budget, and he was "cash-strapped" in a few days. Nong Jiahua had to start working for people to sell vegetables again, and the money he earned was put back into raising chickens. It was not until the first batch of chickens came out of the fence that he began to get out of the "cold winter" of starting a business.

When the time enters 2016, Nong Jiahua's chicken career has been on the right track. At present, about 2000 adult chickens come out of his farm every month, and after deducting the cost, each chicken can earn a net profit of 15 yuan.

Rich do not forget their roots, after the normal operation of the chicken farm, Nong Jiahua hired a villager with family difficulties to take care of himself, with a monthly salary of nearly 2000 yuan. Now, he sells vegetables independently and begins to grow sweet corn, black wax gourd, cantaloupe and chili peppers. He also specially employs several old people left behind in the village to help, with a daily salary of 80 yuan.

"I can be said to be familiar with the vegetable business, so I'm good at it myself. You see, I just went to Vietnam a few days ago and bought a batch of black wax gourd, which has been sent to the vegetable merchants in Shandong. " He opened the photos left in his phone and looked confident.

Since starting his business, Nong Jiahua has invested about 500000 yuan one after another, and he also wants to harden a 1.3km section of mountain road in the village to facilitate the export of villagers' agricultural specialties.

"wait until the day of Double-ninth Day in September, come and taste the chrysanthemum wine again. Haha, when you come back in September this year, there are not only chrysanthemums, but also the black-skinned wax gourd I planted at that time. " Nong Jiahua's eyes are full of longing.
