Early in the morning, Wu Di, winner of the 20th Henan Youth May 4th Medal, was busy in the Lehuo Natural Park in Shizhangzhuang Village, Jiangzuo Town, Luoyang City.

As the general manager of Lehuo Nature Park chain farm, Wu Di manages 500 mu of orchards with his mobile phone every day. He is very proud of his identity as a "new farmer": "the Internet, high technology, the introduction of these innovative factors make traditional agricultural management efficient and orderly."

Wu Di said that he came up with the idea of starting a business when he was in college. After graduating in 2009, he decided to return to his hometown of Luoyang to look for opportunities. "once, I ate a very sweet watermelon. I heard that the price of this kind of watermelon is high, the sales volume is large, and the supply exceeds the demand. Seeing such a good market for high-quality agricultural products, I decided to give it a try. " After finding the right direction, Wu Di and his classmate Zhang Yang embarked on the entrepreneurial road with the 100000 yuan they had saved.

In the first two years, due to lack of technology and experience, watermelons went wrong one after another in planting and marketing. Wu Di not only lost all his possessions, but also carried a foreign debt of 800000 yuan. "under the circumstances at that time, if you gave up starting a business, you had to work slowly to pay off the debt. After discussing with Zhang Yang, I decided to fight behind my back. " After readjusting the division of labor, in 2012, high-quality watermelons in 40 greenhouses sold nearly 2 million yuan, and Wu Di successfully fought a "turnaround."

Wu Di, who tasted success for the first time, did not stop there. In 2013, Wu Di expanded the area of the park to 500 mu, introduced high-quality yellow pear and pomegranate varieties, and established a "Lehuo Natural Park chain Farm", which combines online sales with offline experience. At the same time, the "Smart Agriculture 4.0" system is used to carry out production management and data analysis through the Internet to ensure the standardized operation process.

"in the era of 'Internet + Agriculture', it is our responsibility of the post-80s generation to lead farmers out of poverty and become rich through e-commerce." Wu Di said: in the next step, the farm will form a pair with poor families to lead more people in need to shake off poverty and move to a well-off society.
