The transformation road of Fu Zhongwen, a "capable man"
These two days, Fu Zhongwen of Zhongzhai Village Group, Jianpo Village, Xinchang Town, is extremely busy. As soon as it was dawn in the morning, he and his daughter and son-in-law were busy scooping honey until 4 p.m.
From growing grain to planting pears to raising honey. In Jianpo Village, when Fu Zhongwen's name is mentioned, everyone can't help giving a thumbs up. The so-called "capable man" in the villager is 62 years old and is still busy for himself and his villagers to increase their income and become rich.
Dating back to 1984, when Jianpo Village was selected as an experimental base for the development of pear planting, Fu Zhongwen, in his 30s, actively responded to the participation, planted 27 mu of pear trees in one breath, and actively learned planting management and protection techniques from experts from the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. A few years later, his pear orchard had a bumper harvest with remarkable economic benefits.
Seeing Fu Zhongwen's success, the villagers who held a wait-and-see attitude and skepticism also took action and followed Fu Zhongwen to plant pears. In less than ten years, the area of pear trees planted in Jianpo village has reached 10,000 mu, Fu Zhongwen and the villagers have embarked on the fast track of getting rid of poverty and increasing income, and Jianpo pear has also become a famous brand. Fu Zhongwen was also elected as director of the village committee for two terms by the villagers.
However, the good times did not last long. Due to the single variety of Jinqiu pear and sugar pear in Jianpo village, coupled with the fact that the output could not keep up, the price of pears began to decline, and the income of Fu Zhongwen and the villagers from running pear orchards began to decrease year by year, so growing pears is no longer a long-term solution. How to transform into a difficult problem for the villagers of Jianpo village, Fu Zhongwen once again became the "leader" of the transformation of Jianpo village.
In 2008, Fu Zhongwen accidentally found a family raising bees in Dalongtan, Xintianzhai, and took the initiative to talk. Knowing that the cost of raising bees was low and the economic benefits were considerable, he came up with the idea of beekeeping. But because of the lack of breeding technology, we didn't really start to do it. However, the benefit of growing pears is getting worse and worse. Fu Zhongwen's 50 mu pear orchard can only earn about 40,000 yuan a year. If you subtract the cost, you can't make much money at all. This made him make up his mind to learn bee farming.
In 2014, Fu Zhongwen found a beekeeper in Guxi village and bought two boxes of bees for trial breeding. In the process of feeding, Fu Zhongwen found that the mortality rate of bee pupae was high, and many pupae could not grow into adults. He realized that the cultivation and management method was wrong, so he inquired about the bee farms around Guiyang. After several efforts by Fu Zhongwen, he finally learned the phone number of a bee farm, and he immediately went to the owner of the farm for advice. In addition to learning from his teacher, Fu Zhongwen also bought books and CDs for beekeeping to study. Through learning while trying, Fu Zhongwen fumbled out a set of his own new method of beekeeping.
With the technology, Fu Zhongwen's mortality rate of honeybee pupae has been greatly reduced, and the original two boxes of bees have grown to 33 in just two years. Moreover, his new apiculture method can collect honey for six seasons a year, while the ordinary apiculture method can only collect honey for two seasons a year, resulting in a great increase in honey production. "using the new method of beekeeping, a box of bees can produce 50 jin of honey a year, and these 33 boxes of bees in my family are expected to earn more than 60,000 yuan this year." Fu Zhongwen said happily.
In Fu Zhongwen's view, beekeeping is a good way to get rich. "the cost of beekeeping is low and the income is high, as long as you know the technology of breeding and management. I want to help some low-income households first, teach them the technology of beekeeping for free, and drive them to raise bees together, so that everyone can get rich together. " Fu Zhongwen said.
At present, Fu Zhongwen's only worry is the sale of honey. "if the sales channel is blocked, the more beekeepers there are, the more honey is produced and cannot be sold, then the loss will outweigh the gain." Fu Zhongwen said.
In order to help Fu Zhongwen and more villagers embark on the road to prosperity, Xinchang Town uses e-commerce to provide a solution to the market. At present, Xinchang Town Agricultural Service Center has released Fu Zhongwen's honey sales information on Guizhou Agricultural Economic Network and the town's rural e-commerce platform "Tianguo Shuhui". "We plan to declare bee farming as a precise poverty alleviation project, mobilize and support some low-income villagers to learn beekeeping skills from Fu Zhongwen, so as to increase their income and become rich through beekeeping." Wang Chaogang, director of Xinchang Town Agricultural Service Center, said.
