An accidental discovery when he returned to his hometown to visit his relatives changed the course of his life from a wage earner to a successful mushroom grower. He is Wang Chaoliang, head of the Chaoyu Edible Fungi Professional Cooperative in Yingdong District.
Go back to your hometown to start a business and grow mushrooms
Recently, the author came to Luzhuang Natural Village, Linying Village, Yuanzhai Town, Yingdong District. Standing at the entrance of the village, I can only see the green wheat waves in the distance, and the rows of plastic greenhouses are uniform, reflecting the dazzling light in the sunlight. This is Wang Chaoliang's mushroom planting base.
Lift the plastic curtain and walk into a plastic shed. Wang Chaoliang guides the members in picking mushrooms. "hands should be light when picking mushrooms. You see, just lift it up gently with the mushroom handle in your hand, and pay attention to picking the big and leaving the small. " Seeing the author's visit, Wang Chaoliang stopped the work at hand to welcome him.
The author sees that Wang Chaoliang is young, but in his thirties, what kind of entrepreneurial story is there in him?
"after I graduated from technical secondary school in 2001, I went out to work with the villagers in the village. Wang Chaoliang spoke calmly about his experience. When he returned to his hometown for noon harvest in the summer of 2008, he found that a large number of crop straws were stacked at random, polluting the environment and having nowhere to use. He thought: how to use these waste straws to do some "articles"? how to turn waste into treasure?
Wang Chaoliang found on the Internet that there are many cases of growing mushrooms and getting rich through crop straw across the country. Thinking that there is a lot of straw available in his hometown, he has the idea of returning to his hometown to start a business and grow mushrooms.
Wang Chaoliang is a man with a plan. In order to master the mushroom planting technology, he first came to Wuhan and other places to study, using a few months to systematically learn mushroom ingredients, inoculation, temperature and humidity control and other cultivation techniques. After the noon harvest in 2010, Wang Chaoliang returned to his hometown to start a business, borrowed 20,000 yuan from relatives and friends as a start-up fund, built two plastic greenhouses on his two mu of land, and tried to grow Pleurotus ostreatus. Because of his technical knowledge, management skills, and careful and capable mind, the two sheds of Pleurotus ostreatus ushered in a bumper harvest that year, with a net profit of more than 6000 yuan per shed.
After the victory in the first battle, Wang Chaoliang became more confident in growing mushrooms. He used the profits earned in the previous period to constantly expand the planting area of mushrooms. at present, he has developed more than 50 mu of planting area, built 20 greenhouses, and introduced new varieties such as big ball cover mushrooms and Ganoderma lucidum one after another. At the same time, he also initiated the establishment of Yingdong District Chaoyu Edible Mushroom Professional Cooperative, driving the surrounding villagers to grow mushrooms together. Wang Chaoliang is not complacent in learning new planting technology. he is constantly learning new techniques for growing mushrooms. "take the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus as an example, mainly using sunny border cultivation, using wheat and corn waste straw as raw materials, starting from September and October, inoculating, sending bacteria, and picking mushrooms in late November; during the management period, as long as timely ventilation, good temperature control, humidity kept within the appropriate range, harvest should be timely, otherwise, it is easy to open umbrellas, and the economic value will decrease. Today, Wang Chaoliang has become an expert in mushroom cultivation and speaks eloquently about the planting technology: "growing Pleurotus ostreatus not only has good economic benefits, but also contains quite high protein and a variety of minerals and vitamins that are beneficial to the human body. It has the effect of treating or improving a variety of diseases in the human body. It can be called a full-price nutrition and health food with delicious color and delicious taste, and it is very popular in the market. "
The economic benefits are considerable.
Talking about the benefits of planting mushrooms, Wang Chaoliang calculated an account for the author: "from the point of view of expenditure, each mu of land needs to use straw worth 2500 yuan, bacteria 1500 yuan, land rent 900yuan, plus shed, labor, fertilizer and other expenses, the investment per mu of land is about 7500 yuan. Looking at the income, the spring harvest began in March, and it can be harvested up to June. A total of five or six crops can be picked, with a mushroom yield of about 4000 jin, an average price of 4 yuan per jin, and a net profit of 8000 yuan per mu. "
Today, Wang Chaoliang has become a famous local mushroom king. In order to increase market share, Wang Chaoliang introduced pickling, drying and other technologies, mushroom products sold in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other markets, with an annual profit of more than 400,000 yuan. "the next step is to expand the planting area of Pleurotus ostreatus to 1000 mu, impart the planting technology and experience to the surrounding people, provide one-stop service of production, supply and marketing, and lead everyone to increase income and become rich." Looking to the future, Wang Chaoliang said confidently. (Xu Licheng and Liu Ana)
