"this year, we plan to build four new henhouses to increase the annual production of native chickens from more than 2000 to more than 6000." A few days ago, Li Shang Hou, a young entrepreneur returning home in Shuimen Township, Xiapu County, said happily. After several days of rain, he specially got up early in the morning to disinfect the nursery, and then rushed to the mountain construction site non-stop to see the progress of the construction of the new chicken house. Recalling the experience in the early days of starting a business, Li still remembers it vividly.

Regardless of obstructing to return to his hometown to start a business

Li Shangwei is from Chengtian Village, Shuimen Township, Xiapu County, which is remote and impoverished. After graduating from Fujian Institute of Engineering in 2006, he joined a company in the provincial capital as an equipment engineer with a monthly salary of 3000 yuan and lived a comfortable life. However, he was always eager to open up his own world because of his restlessness.

Li Shang Hou said that after work, he often watched CCTV's getting Rich Classic, and slowly came up with the idea of returning to his hometown to start a business. In March 2010, Li told his family to go back to his hometown to raise chickens, which was strongly opposed. However, having made up his mind, he resolutely resigned and returned to his hometown with 600 chicken seedlings bought from Nantong.

Li's father looked at a group of twittering chickens in front of him, his face livid. He said, "well, since you want to come back to raise chickens, you will also take over the pig farm at home, and you will also be responsible for paying the debt of more than 100,000 yuan for the pig farm." Father tried to make Li back down in the face of difficulties.

Like his father, relatives and friends always talk about it, but Li did not flinch, but strengthened his determination to succeed.

Meet the difficulties and cut through the difficulties

After 600 feather chickens were transported back, Li built a simple chicken house at the foot of the mountain to raise them. Due to lack of funds, on weekdays, some weeds eaten by pigs are mixed with rice bran and fed to chickens. Under his careful calculation, the first batch of chickens successfully came out of the fence in September 2010. Li was full of drive and soon bought another 800 young chickens, only to be dealt a heavy blow.

"after the chicken vaccine has been vaccinated against bird flu, it will be half a month before it can be released until the antibody against bird flu is produced in the body. I didn't understand at that time, but after only three days, I put them in the woods. As a result, they all contracted the disease and died. " The blow caught Li by surprise, but it also made him understand that it is difficult to succeed by starting a business with enthusiasm alone. He began to visit forums and buy books, and often consulted and studied from the staff of the veterinary station. Constantly enrich and enrich the knowledge of poultry breeding.

In 2011, Li borrowed 8000 yuan from his classmates and bought another 600 chicken seedlings. According to Li, these young chickens were raised in the nursery for a month and began to be released, moving and foraging freely in the forest during the day, feeding some rice after sunset, coming out smoothly half a year later, and some of them were given to relatives, friends and classmates to taste. "although it didn't make any money, because of its delicious taste, word of mouth has established a good reputation and successfully opened up the sales market." He said.

In 2013, Li began to expand the scale of breeding, bought trucks, built three new chicken houses, and set up mountain agricultural cooperatives in 2015 to sell them online and offline simultaneously using the Internet. The annual number of native chickens reached more than 2000, and the income reached 160000 yuan. In 2016, Fujian Province launched a "hundred enterprises hanging a hundred villages" campaign, and Fujian Zongheng Group linked to help Chengtian Village. Li learned that there were several sprinkling stores under the Zongheng Group, with an annual demand of nearly 7000 local chickens. He seized the opportunity to establish a cooperative relationship with the group and started order production, ushering in another spring of development.

Drive the villagers to increase their income and become rich

With the development of aquaculture, Li Shanghou began to think about helping villagers develop production, increase income and become rich.

In 2016, Chengtian Village launched a new round of accurate poverty alleviation work, and Li joined the support team under the leadership of the two village committees. Through door-to-door visits, Li learned that some people had returned to poverty due to illness, and some people were unable to develop production due to lack of funds and technology. In order to help the masses, he mobilized poor households to raise native poultry. He imparted the scientific breeding technology and management knowledge that he had mastered over the years to poor households, and according to their wishes, he supplied poultry seedlings free of charge, signed a cooperation agreement with them, and promised to purchase products at the lowest market protection price.

Weng Qiying, a low-income household, is nearly 70 years old. her daughter has been married to another village. both she and her husband are disabled and unable to work, and their only source of livelihood is the family's 2-mu tea garden. Due to neglect of care, low output and low price, the income is difficult to sustain.

In early April this year, Weng Qiying and his wife adopted more than 10 chickens from Li Shang. Li went to them every two or three days to check the growth of the chicks. His serious and responsible attitude made Weng Qiying and his wife take "reassurance" and had confidence in farming to get rid of poverty. In mid-April, the couple adopted more than 60 chickens.

Like Weng Qiying and his wife, more than 10 poor households in the village, led by Li, have also begun to breed one after another. At present, the business model of cooperatives driving poor households has been widely recognized by the villagers, but also attracted more and more farmers to join the cooperative, there are more than 20 households.
