It started in 1983. That year, Peng Ning was admitted to the powder metallurgy major of Hefei University of Technology with excellent results. At that time, a college student was the pride of the whole village. In 1987, after graduation, Peng Ning was assigned to work in China first Automobile Group. In 2006, he moved to a listed company in the province. With the title of senior engineer and an annual income of 200000 yuan, Peng Ning refused to keep the "golden rice bowl" and resolutely resigned and returned to his hometown. For business sales, Peng Ning is even more of a professional. Peng Ning also registered the trademark "Gandi Xinmao" to build a pollution-free vegetable base. 14 of the company's vegetable products have been certified as pollution-free agricultural products by the Agricultural products quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, Xinmao Ecological Agricultural Base adopts the mode of "company + core base + farmers' professional cooperatives + farmers". Farmers can take various forms to participate in company planting and share the fruits of development. In 2015, the sales income of agricultural products in the base reached more than 2400 million yuan, directly and indirectly promoting the employment of more than 1500 local farmers.

Today, Xinmao Ecological Agricultural Base has transferred 1006 mu of land, including more than 350mu of pollution-free vegetable planting base, 100mu of orchard, 260mu of aquatic ecological farm, 60mu of livestock and poultry farm, 230mu of rice and other cash crops. This year, Peng Ning has increased investment in infrastructure and built a joint greenhouse, ready to write an article on fine fruits and vegetables.
